The NBA is investigating whether Isiah Thomas contract conforms with the NBA by laws. The person leading the charge is Zeke long time rival Charlotte owner Michael Jordon. Jordon and Zeke never saw eye to eye after Jordon Bulls beat Thomas Bad boys Pistons in the playoffs. Jordan went on to win NBA championship. Jordon and other no name owners want Thomas consulting contract to be block by the NBA. Ina a new rule installed four years ago, NBA front-office personnel are not permitted to high-school players unless competing in All-Star tournaments. Also NBA front-office personal are not allowed to contact with college players until they declare for the draft. Isiah Thomas role as consultant was specified in a Knicks release as advising on the college draft. So James Dolan was trying to pull a fast one on the NBA noses. The NCAA is questioning the whole issue centering around Thomas. Sources say the NBA could block the move. MJ seems like he still pulling strings in the NBA. I really think the timing is right for New York Knicks.
