Who knew? I mean, really.

Who knew you could look like Maria Menounos, love sports, and be athletic?

She sounds like the lead in a Matthew McConaughey romantic comedy.

But alas, it's true.

Maria was named MVP of the Madden NFL “Pigskin Pro-Am” on NBC last night.

She was all over the field on offense and defense and left with the Most Valuable Player honors.

Another sexy celebrity also shined in the game...

Shannon Elizabeth For The Assist

With help from teammates James Van Der Beek (actor) , Quinton Aaron (the lead from The Blind Side) and Shannon Elizabeth (actress and pro poker player), Maria was able to sack former Arizona and St. Louis quarterback Kurt Warner.

Most will agree, that early play set the tone for the game.

The Sack Master

Maria was quoted in the Boston Herald after the sack:

“I don’t know how it happened,” she said. “But it was hard for him to get away from me".

I quickly checked on Google and it's official:

Truer words have never been spoken.

All Her Bases Covered

The Boston Gal is what we like to call a triple threat, as this SI picture illustrates. Not sure what the middle pic has to do with sports, but I really liked it.

During The Playoffs...

During the finals Maria proudly showed her allegiance to her hometown team.

And when she's not cheering on the C's...

...She's either working her day job on TV as a correspondent for 'Access Hollywood', winning "Old Spice MVP" awards at Madden Pro-Am games or playing some other sport.

And She Doesn't Take Any Mess!

This is Maria the Pro Wrestler.

Look at the perfect form.

The girl can pretty much do anything.

Haunted By Last Year

According to Maria, at last year's Madden game she dropped a winning touchdown pass.

From Joe Montana!

"I was devastated," she said.

So she went out there this year and made up for it.

All The Single (Covered) Ladies! All The Single Ladies!

Maria was also quoted as saying she won this one for the ladies.

She said her well earned MVP was dedicated to "all the girls who never got passed the ball.”

I'm sure they would have Maria, if they looked like you.

Divine Intervention

In closing, Maria shared one last quotable nugget. When asked why she played so well in the game, she said:

"It was like God said to me, ‘You are going to be a football star today,’ and I was."

So there...

As we suspected, God is on Maria Menounos's side.

And so am I.
