Ten Cowboys To Watch Out For This Year
Since Roy Williams came to Dallas he has been a disappointment however that can all change in 2010. Last season Williams had seven touchdown catcher because he got singled covreadge in the red zone. Now with the emergacne of Miles Austin and newly acquired Dez Bryant look for Williams to get more single covrage and more touchdowns.
Last season Gerald Sensabaugh had 66 tackles and one interception. Those are not great numbers however he play most of the season with a cast on his hand because of a broken thumb. Sensabaugh is going to be playing for a long term deal in 2010 and with out a cast on his hand he will have more interceptions and tackels.
John Phillips might be the third string tight end however he is going to get some playing time this season. Phillips is a great blocker and can not only play tight end but full back as well. Phillips reminds me of Jason Witten and could be a good contributer this season.
David Buehler is taking over the Cowboys kicking duty in 2010. Not only will Buehler have the strongest leg in the NFL but so far during camp he is proving that he can be accurate. Look for Buehler to have a great season for the Cowboys and make six kicks form over 45 yards.
Wow Bryant looks like the real deal during camp before he hurt his ankle. Bryant has all the skills to be a big time player this season. Due to the ankle injury look for Bryant to come alive during the second half of the season and add another wepon to the Cowboys offence.
Felix Jones had a coming out party during the end of last season but 2010 will be a pro bowl season for the running back. One problem that Jones has had is durability however things might change this season. Jones is 220 pounds coming into camp and that is more than Marion Barber. Look for Jones to have over 7 fifty yard runs this season.
4- Stephen Bowen
When you watched the Cowboys last season you would see number 72 in the quarterbacks face on third downs. That was Stephen Bowen who is a great pass rusher and will get more reps this season. Bowen has three sacks and eighteen tackles last season however this season Bowen will get more reps on first and second down. Look for Bowen to have seven sacks in 2010.
3- Doug Free
The Cowboys have put Tony Romo back side protection in the hands of Doug Free. Last season when Free came in to play right tackle he did a great job and their is no reason to think he cant play left tackle. When you watch last season Free he gave great effort on every single play and keeps improving during camp.
2- Alan Ball
The Cowboys are going to start Alan Ball at free safety this season. Ball has been with the team for three season and knows the systems. Most people fell Ball wont be able to do the job however history will prove them wrong. Last season receiver was a question mark until Miles Austin came had his coming out party. Look for Ball to be a upgrade a safety and help this defence becuase one of the tops in the NFL.
1- Anthony Spencer
Anthony Spencer has the potential to be an all pro this season. After talking over at out side line backer last season Spencer proved that he is one of the best young players in the game. Spencer had six sacks last season all coming in the second half of the season. This year look for him to have over 10 sacks and 80 tackles. Teams are going to have to double team Ware leaving Spencer to get into the back field and hit the quarterback.
