This just in from the BroncoTalk Website:

"The Denver Broncos on Wednesday announced they have signed running back LenDale White, waiving running back Kolby Smith four days into training camp.

"White (6-1, 235), a Denver native, is suspended for the first four games of the 2010 season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy."

This provides Denver with a true power runner, something they haven't had since trading Hillis. He brings size, receiving skills and intimidation to the RB position.

Will he be able to clean up his act in Denver?

Let's hope so.

I think being back in Denver and close to his first cousin, Nuggets point guard Chauncey Billups, will be a great help. White has said in the past he has had a great deal of respect for Billups , and I trust he will continue to listen tohim  now that he is in Denver.

I feel this is a great signing, both for the Broncos but also for White.  He has a real chance to turn his life around and contribute to the Denver running and passing game.
