The New York Islanders and forward Jon Sim agreed to terms on a one-year deal yesterday. Sim enters his fourth year on the Islanders blue line.

Sim split his time between the big club and AHL Bridgeport in 2008-09. He amassed 15 points (nine goals and six assists) at the NHL level.

“Jon brings an unmatched work ethic and veteran leadership to our lineup and we’re excited to have him back for the upcoming season,” said Islanders general manager Garth Snow.
