The Mets lost there heart when Beltran strikeout during the 2006 NLCS against the Cardinals. Beltran and Wright are not clutch baseball players. There more for personal statistics. When Mets need a big hit from these two players, it just don't work out and they fold. They show this the last four seasons. Beltran comes back from the DL, and he mess up the chemistry of the Mets for the second part of the season. Wright is having a good year, but he still not clutch and this spread to rest of the team. The Mets tried to compare David Wright to Derek Jeter. Not in this life time or any life time. Luis Castillo seems like his best years is behind him. Omar Minaya should dump Castillo after this year. The same goes for Ollie Perez, Maine, Francoeur, and Alex Cora. The Mets needs a whole new make over. Start with new young ballplayers with potential from the farm. Hopefully the Mets will found a money ballplayer in they farm system. The Mets should look at them self in the mirror. The plan four years ago is dead in this town.
