On April 14, 2010, Dana White announced that UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva's next title defense would be at UFC 117 against Chael Sonnen.

Ever since the announcement, Chael Sonnen has trashed Silva. Every press conference, public or private interview, has been used by Sonnen to openly bash Silva. He has insulted Silva in every way possible, from Silva's fighting style to his personal life.

Here are a few quotes of Sonnen's about Anderson "The Spider" Silva. "I don't believe in sportsmanship and honor and all this crap that you guys like to talk about. I think it's a fight. Go out there and do whatever you want. I just don't like him. That's it." "I can drag Anderson Silva out of a hotel and beat him up anytime I want." And he keeps going and going.

In recent fights, Silva has toyed with opponents and aggravated fans, causing many to dislike him.

But the media is starting to defend him against Sonnen. Because the public may not like Silva, but they respect his talent. And really everyone is just tired of Sonnen's rantings. No one believes him anyway.

Perhaps Sonnen is only attempting to convince himself that he can win the match on Saturday. Because whether we like it or not, Silva is the greatest UFC Middleweight in history. He dominates top-notch opponents in matches. And Sonnen will be no different.

Recently following the comical fights, UFC President Dana White threatened Silva to be serious with his fights or be cut. Silva will be out to prove he is still serious. He doesn't like Sonnen very much either. This doesn't bode well for Sonnen.

Silva has height, speed, reach, and boxing skills over Sonnen. He almost has every single edge. Silva is the greatest pound for pound fighter in the UFC today. He is 11-0 in the UFC. That is the longest streak in UFC history.

Sonnen is 4-3. He is small, slow, and short compared to Silva.

Call me crazy, but I am predicting pure domination. Watch for Silva to get a first round knockout. He is planning to shut Chael Sonnen's mouth for good.
