With the myriad of Chris Paul rumors going around, I thought I would literally beat this topic to death. And what better way to do that then to make a list of the top ten things that could make it happen?

With much adieu about nothing I present them to you.

1. Team Exec’s Keep Saying He Isn’t…

This one is a double hit cause both the last General Manager, Jeff Bower(pictured) and the Current General Manager, Dell Demps have denied that they will trade him.

Which of course means they will.

Don’t even try to deny, that’s just a way of trying to gain leverage.

2. Darren Collison is Putting the Heat on Him

It’s almost ironic how a player at only 25 years old can already no longer be the future of the franchise. Actually come to think of it, I can think of one more 25 year old player who is a superstar and not a franchises future anymore as well…

But anyway, the 22 year old Collison has somehow supplanted Paul as the Franchises long-term future. Meaning Paul isn't. This also means that Paul won't have to suffer from the LeBron backlash as well because the franchise is pretty much no worse off without him.

3. His Agent is Leon Rose

This one doesn’t even need to be explained after LeBronocalypse, but I will incase you somehow stumbled on this article after being in a coma for the last seven years. MJ retired again, Rose is still representing one of the most polarizing players in the league, and it’s not Allen Iverson.

The mere hiring of Leon Rose, should spell trouble for whatever franchise has a player under his representation and isn’t the Knicks, L.A., or Miami.

4. The Hornet’s Aren’t the Saints

You know that team that rose out of the ashes from Katrina to win a championship and captured the hearts of a city and a nation? Well, the Hornets aren’t it. Their just the annoying little brother to that awesome guy, who will never live up to big brothers hype.

Chris Paul doesn’t want to be on the second most important team in any town, especially a small one.

5. LRMR is His Managing Company

102773725_display_image

This kind of goes with the above slide about his agent. LRMR has a shinning track record of stealing stars from many different teams and placing them all on one super team in a big market. This is beginning to feel like baseball.

But don’t worry Baseball’s cap free system works just fine, right? The big markets get all the guys, while the small markets find them, develop them, and get them stolen as soon as they get good. It’s a balanced system, the Yankees only have won 27% of all the Championships, there’s plenty for everyone else…

6. New GM Dell Demps is From The Spurs!

And their new coach, (Monty Williams pictured), used to be an assistant on the Blazers, (and the Spurs!), there’s no reason to think that these ‘buddies’ have any loyalty to their in-division rivals, right?

However, in all seriousness, if Demps learned anything from the Spur’s it’s the importance of a good big man. And I am sure he is thinking that one all-star caliber point is enough, he just needs to get that big. And he has a extra star point to spare…

7. No Big Men

Emeka Okafor’s claim to fame will be the guy who draft pundits said was better then Dwight Howard. Because draft night was the last time anyone ever thought he could be better. The big men on this team are not going to get it done. And if Okafor’s your starting center, you need another center…

8. Ownership just wants out

80979559_display_image

The deal just keeps getting stalled out. Why can’t George Shinn (pictured) get this thing done, all he wants to do is to sell Gary Chouest? Is Chris Paul in the way?

I don’t know what role if any Paul plays in this. But if I was Paul, I would want out. And if I was an owner wanting in I would want to know that the best player on my team is either there and happy, or gotten value for. I think the happy part is not really happening…

9. Knick’s Need a Reason to Keep Donnie Walsh out of Extended Care

81074017_display_image

Just like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Isiah Thomas has already told the Knick fans that ‘I’ll be back.’ And if Donnie Walsh (pictured) loses motivation to stay with the team, or his health gets worse, the Knicks are going back to the Dark Ages.
Enter Chris Paul, the prefect reason for Donnie Walsh to keep on going, and to make his only extended stay, the one as New York Knick’s head honcho.

10. Big Markets are all the Rage

98521484_display_image

You know Chris Paul is has to be jealous of LeBron and the superfriends down in Miami. They get all the media coverage, all the hype, not to mention one of the biggest market in America with South Beach. LeBron’s on vacation, Pauls on cleanup duty after the Saint’s Superbowl party…
