Nine months ago, Mike Williams walked into head coach Doug Marrone's office and quit the Syracuse football program.  Five months ago, he was a second-day draft pick after underwhelming scouts at the scouting combine.  Today, he is the No. 1 wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"He has been working at the X position with the ones," [Bucs coach Raheem] Morris said.  "Mike Williams had a dynamic offseason.  He has come in and done everything we have asked.  He has been one of the guys that has caught the ball, stood out and has been standing out since he has been here."

In other Mike Williams news: The Redskins placed Mike Williams on reserves, while Seattle gave Mike Williams a chance to save a once-promising career.
