NBA Rumors: Shaquille O'Neal To Sign in Europe?

As a result of Shaquille O’Neal’s dwindling career, and the fact that no one will pay him what he wants, the big man is reportedly looking into signing with a European team.

A deal in Europe would likely pay Shaq upwards of $10 million, which is exactly the type of money he is looking for. O’Neal, 38, is not the player he once was, and the NBA market for him show this. But, with all his fame it is likely he would be a big hit in Europe.

In fact, Shaq’s potential move to Europe mirrors that of David Beckham’s move to the MLS. Shaq is well past his prime and his career is very similar to what David Beckham’s was back in 2007. Perhaps the European basketball leagues will become the hot destination for old, washed up veterans to finish out their careers.
