Now that Jr. is a southsider, the question everyone is asking is, How does he fit with the Sox or can he help the team? In my opinion, an extra bat could never hurt unless the player doesn't want to be in the situation. But to my understanding Ken Griffey had the final say in the deal and he agreed, so I think he'll do just fine. As far as his ability to still play the out field position remains to be seen. I believe he'll be able to fit in and play just fine. He'll have to prove me wrong. One question is, why not try for Manny Ramirez? It's obvious his team wanted to deal him. Not taking anything away from Jr., Ramirez is younger so you get more time on the roster out of him. Overall, I'm okay with Jr., it was just a question out of curiosity.
