Jerry Reinsdorf showed up before John Paxson, Go Figure!

Kwonae McGeeCorrespondent IJuly 31, 2008

Reports have it that Jerry Reinsdorf stepped in to handle the negotiations between the Bulls and Luol Deng. I never saw that coming, but I'll give credit where it's due. I didn't think old Jerry had it in him. He just displayed some interest in a team other than the White Sox. I must say I couldn't be more happy that the Bulls have shown some life from the front office.

Luol has just become a wealthy man. Now let's see if his stats get back up now that his contract troubles are over. The question still remains, what to do with Ben Gordon? As I have stated before, I would like to see a deal between Ben and the Bulls. I also know that this is a business. The truth be told, Ben does make for an attractive trade bargain.

So since it takes Jerry Reinsdorf to make the deals happen, "Jerry what's your next move? And what does this mean for John Paxson's job as the GM/VP of basketball ops? Will we see him replaced?" That's the question of the day. At the end of the day though, good job on the Luol Deng deal!
