Manchester United star Anderson is recovering after being dragged unconscious from the burning wreckage of a sports car...seconds before it exploded.
The Brazilian international was pulled lifeless out of the £125,000 Audi R8 car after it hit a wall.
He was "lifeless" as he was rescued from the burning sports car.
He had been recuperating after treatment to a knee injury, but now will need extra time to recover from this near-death experience.
He spent several hours in hospital in Portugal suffering from "concussion, whiplash and shock."
The crash which is being investigated by local police happened in the Geres area of Braga in Portugal.
It has been reported that a young Brazilian woman was seen in the two-seater car, but it is not known who was driving.
A spokesman for Anderson said he'd suffered "an almighty scare."
It looked like he was going to miss the first few games of the new season, but now his return may need to be put on hold for a few more games.
I'm sure all United fans hope he recovers soon and joins the team for the new season, helping them to regain the Premiership title.
