Jake Ellenberger may have had a big disadvantage standing in his fight with John Howard, but he quickly negated that, taking John Howard down repeatedly en route to a TKO win (Doctor Stoppage) in the third round.

It was evident who was the better man on the ground, with Jake Ellenberger landing some lethal shots to John Howard's left eye. John Howard was employing an effective guard and even showed decent submissions from his back, but it wasn't enough.

That was John Howard's first UFC loss after four straight UFC wins, including two KO's over Dennis Hallman and Daniel Roberts.

Jake Ellenberger is the winner of his last two fights after losing his UFC debut against Carlos Condit.
