Creature vs. Creature: Takanori Gomi Will Dismantle Tyson Griffin

Colton WhittemoreCorrespondent IOctober 30, 2016

Welcome, fight fans, to another edition of B/R MMA's famed Creature vs. Creature. In this edition, Dale De Souza and I will be analyzing the fight between Takanori Gomi and Tyson Griffin. Dale will be making the case for Tyson Griffin, and I will be making the case for Takanori Gomi.

There were a lot of questions surrounding Takanori Gomi as he made his debut back in March against Kenny Florian. Most were wondering if he would be as effective of a fighter as he was in PRIDE. If his showing against Kenny Florian said anything, then it said Gomi was past his prime.

Takanori Gomi, while being known as a top notch wrestler, is also very well known for possessing a lethal right hook. His quality gameplan has led to some impressive wins over Tatsuya Kawajiri, Jens Pulver, Marcus Aurelio, Duane Ludwig, and Luiz Azeredo.

What with his size comparison and impressive skill set, I see Takanori Gomi giving Tyson Griffin his toughest test to date. Gomi has shown in the past that he can beat wrestlers who are taken out of their element, and I expect no different tonight.

However, due to Tyson Griffin's fighting style and his never give up attitude, I see this fight lasting until the final bell.

With that, I'm predicting a split decision win for Takanori Gomi.
