There are still a lot hurt feelings over LeBron James leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat. Even though it hurts to see him go, it was the best decision for him at that time. Many will begin to see this.
It has been less than a month since James announced his decision to leave Cleveland for the sunny beaches of Miami. Even now, there are reports of fans' hatred for what they feel was the ultimate betrayal by their hero.
Even though his decision may have cost the Cavaliers their chance to make it to a championship game anytime soon, he did what he felt was best for himself.
Looking at the situation from a neutral basketball fan’s point of view, it makes sense that James would want to eventually explore the world and move away from where he grew up. It also makes sense that he would want to join a team with his friends.
While it still seems like a dark time for Cleveland, there is actually a lot of good that can come out of this move.
The teaming of James, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade will create a powerful team that will eventually be able to rival the likes of the Lakers and the Celtics.
For the Cavaliers, this move may push the remaining members of the team to play even harder and step up their game to prove that they don’t need to 'the King' to be a successful team.
Hopefully, once the season begins, fans will eventually be able to some good in this situation, and everyone can focus on the positive instead of focusing on the negative.
