Will this be Minaya last time to make a major trade? He needs a big trade to get the Mets over the top, with Bay going on the DL on Friday with continued headaches and other effects of concussions. The Mets promoted Jesus Feliciano from Triple-A Buffalo, and need a starting pitcher or relief pitcher, someone like Jake Westbrook, Ted Lilly, or Octavio Dotel.

The Mets need a set-up man for Frankie K. The Pirates are looking to trade Dotel for the right price. Omar Minaya should shoot for the stars at the trading deadline. He stood pat in 2009 as the team roster crumbled from injuries.

They may need a new outfielder, since Bay is on the DL. Minaya has been eyeing Jose Guillen for a long time. I really like the Pirates Andrew McCutchen. He has stardom written all over him. The Pirates are too smart to trade this young star in the making.

So now, Minaya must show Mets fans he wants to win right now. He might be counting his last days as GM of the New York Mets.
