Reggie Bush: 10 Image Rehab Ideas After USC and Kim Kardashian Debacle
Okay, now that we have dissected the situation that Reggie Bush has gotten himself into, it won't feel right if we don't try to help him find a way out of it.
The two schools of thought when things aren't going your way are to either run and hide or image rehab.
Since Reggie's season is starting soon, the hiding option is, well, not an option.
So here are the top ten ways to rehab yourself if you are a celebrity who is not having the best of times.
Keep in mind, most of these steps have been attempted by others, to mixed results.
So choose wisely, Mr. Bush.
10. Find Jim Gray, A Nice Shirt, A Couple Of Chairs...
Go on national TV and tell the world what happened with both Kim and the Trojans.
It might be cathartic.
I'm sure ESPN can spare an hour.
9. Find a Nice Young Lady and Settle Down
Everyone loves stability.
Selita is successful so you don't have to worry about her being a gold digger.
She's dated athletes in the past, so she knows what the life is like and I hear she might be single right now.
So date for a while, maybe a month, and get VH-1 to pay for the wedding.
9A. I'm Not Sure What Your Type Is...
So here's a couple of options.
Nicole Scherzinger has also dated athletes, so that could be a starting point.
Something to break the ice...
9b. So Just to Cover All Bases...
Joanna Krupa cussed out TO on a reality competition show, so at least you know she'll tell you what's on her mind.
Communication is key.
Moving on...
8. Then Start A Family
Everyone loves Drew Brees.
More importantly everyone loves Braylen Brees after seeing him during the Super Bowl.
Unfortunately, unless you adopt, you won't have time to make your own little one if the Saints repeat.
But it's something to think about for the future.
7. Give Back The Heisman
Right now, your trophy is like a story with no ending. It's just lingering there...
Like test results you haven't recieved from a doctor.
Bring closure to it, by giving it back and moving on.
Vince Young has already said that he doesn't want it.
So maybe if you give it back, they'll insist you keep it and you can say you tried.
6. Join Presidents Bush and Clinton with Haiti Earthquake Relief
In all seriousness, doing something to help others will make you feel good as well as getting you some good write ups.
You might already be doing this, but I know you were very helpful in New Orleans with Katrina so this could be another great opportunity.
The 2010 Haiti earthquake was measured to be a 7.0. The earthquake caused major damage in the capital city of Port-au-Prince, Jacmel and other settlements in the region.
The people there are still in need of assistance.
5. Three Words: Go See Oprah!
She has her own network now, so she'll be looking for people to talk to.
She might ask you some questions you don't want to answer, so bring your folks with you.
Anyway, end it with a hug and America will love you again.
4. Go Back and Finish Your Degree
It will be a small step, but it might mean something to you later that you went back and did it.
The press will hound you for a little while, but in the end, you will have done it for you.
3. Write a Tell All Mea Culpa Autobiography
And please, please, please!...
Don't make it anything like the last USC running back who "tried" to confess his sins.
Just saying.
2. Reach Your Potential On The Field
At USC, when you were on the field, you were unstoppable.
I loved watching those teams and I was proud to cheer for the Trojans every week.
Everyone wanted to see what you would do on any given play.
It hasn't been like that in the pros.
Find your mojo... become an All-Pro.
Be the Reggie you were earlier this decade!
(This goes for you too, Matt Leinart.)
1. Be The Superbow MVP
Sounds simple enough, but everyone loves a winner.
You lead the Saints this time.
You be the one going to Disney World.
Or is it Disney Land?
Anyway, do that and you might not need the previous nine steps.
