Al Davis and his Oakland Raiders are by far the most hated things in the NFL.

Mr. Davis has sued the NFL numerous times and had a huge feud with former NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle.

The Raiders themselves are known to be thugs on and off the field.

Media and fans alike hate the Raiders, but why? Here are seven reasons.

The Raiders Have A Winning Record Against 24 of the 32 NFL Teams

A lot of fans have no respect for the Raiders nowadays. This can be attributed to the Raiders crushing their favorite teams from 1970 to 2002.

They see their chance to "get back" at the Raiders for all those losses.

Al and The Raiders Are Easy Targets

The Raiders have had a tough stretch these past seven years. There is no denying that. Finally, the haters have something to talk about.

They never had anything to say when the Raiders were winning, but now that Oakland is down, the haters are flocking.

Al Davis is getting up there in age and has made a few bad decisions as the team's GM.

It's easy to call a football genius senile from behind a computer screen.

Deep Down, The Haters Wish They Were Like The Raiders

The mystique. The Raider image. Us against the world.

It's all something other players and fans wish they had.

I mean come on, Silver and Black is the best color scheme in all of football!

The Perception of The Raiders being "Thugs"

Raider players and fans have been perceived as nothing but thugs. John Madden smoked his cigarette on the sideline, players were given career-ending injuries, and legal disputes were daily in Raiderland.

It only got worse when N.W.A. began strutting with Raider gear on and making what the haters called "violence rap."

Fans started brawling with other fans, and the rest is history. In short, haters think we're nothing but uneducated trouble makers.

Maybe they're half right.

Raider Nation's Undying Loyalty For Their Team

Raider fans are some of the most loyal fans in the NFL. We put a ton of make-up on our face, bring out the spiked shoulder pads, and cheer our hearts out.

Broncos fans clap quietly in Oakland like it's a golf game.

I assure you if the Raiders were to win a Super Bowl this year, Patriots "fans" will come flocking.

Haters hate good traits, and Raider fans definitely have those.

Great Players And History

Jim Otto. Ken Stabler. Art Shell. Fred Biletnikoff. Jack Tatum. Tim Brown.

The list of Raider greats can go on and on, and most teams don't have that. 40 years of winning isn't something any team is used to, except for the Raiders.

Obviously, fans and media would be envious of such a rich history.

They wish their team could have a commitment to excellence. Since it doesn't, they hate on the real thing.

The Raiderettes

Sorry. I couldn't help it. But come on, don't we have the best cheerleaders or what? They even have a commitment to excellence!
