The way to get people's attention in golf is to hit some really long drives.

Yes, making 30-foot putts for eagle also tends to make the highlight reel, but like in baseball, there's nothing that captures people's attention like the longball.

Various golfers over the years have "wowed" the galleries and TV audiences with some spectacular drives, here are the current leaders, according to the PGA.

Robert Garrigus

Robert Garrigus is ranked first at the moment on the PGA Tour for longest drive with 318.1 yards.

You'd think that kind of driving power would help a guy win more tournaments, but not in this case.

As with all number ones, the spot is his until someone takes it.

Phil Mickelson

Lefty is ranked No. 9, but expect his numbers to go up in the next month or two.

Mickelson's game has been pretty consistent lately, so expect more good things from the golfer everybody loves.

Dustin Johnson

Dustin has youth on his side, and his third overall ranking may soon be left behind for No. 1.

Johnson can hit the ball a ton, and at age 26, he's in the prime of his driving career.

John Daly

Daly is a beast, so don't expect him to really fall down this list. Even if just about every other aspect of Daly's game is not so good, Daly will drive the ball across the county.

He'll even wear ridiculous pants while doing it.

Bubba Watson

Currently ranked second, He'll be rock steady for the rest of the season but lose ground to Dustin Johnson.

Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods is not on the PGA's list for longest drives at the moment, which is hard to believe, but I'm sure there's a good reason.

Tiger used to completely dominate this category, but even he's admitted he can't drive the ball like he used to.

Even so, 300 yards still is not a problem for Tiger, so you have to keep him in the top 10, even if it's not official.
