Last night, with two outs in the ninth inning and Brett Myers about to conclude his dominant performance against the Cubs, I saw him look in for the sign on the 1-2 pitch to Marlon Byrd and yell “fastball up!”

I couldn’t figure out what he was doing, as I was sure that he wasn’t yelling out for Byrd to hear what he was about to throw.

Next pitch: A high fastball taken for a ball.

Did anyone else see this?  Why would Myers let Byrd know what was coming?  Was he taunting him?

Where can I comment?
