In World Wrestling Entertainment there have been many great superstars. Each superstar is unique and special in there own way. But there are some wrestlers in the past 8 years that we have come to love (e.g. Randy Orton and John Cena). There is just something about some wrestlers that you just immediately take a liking to such as Stone Cold's "don't give a crap" attitude or The Undertakers ominous entrance.
So here are the top superstars of the WWE from 2002-2010. If you don't agree or think that some superstars should be on the list or #1 then please leave a comment.
Starting the countdown to number 1 is "The Animal" Dave Batista. In just a mere 8 years he has not only won world titles but has beaten the likes of Triple H, Kane, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and John Cena. Some of the IWC might disagree with this notion because of Batista's lack of a moveset but The Animal has made his name in the panels of the WWE.
The longest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE goes down as number 10.
The WWE's underdog Rey Mysterio. Rey is a pioneer of highflying in the WWE and he is now a former 2 time world champion. He is one of the most athletic superstars to ever step into a WWE ring and by the time his career ends we will alll know that he is a sure fire Hall of Famer.
Rey Mysterio is number 9.
The man I hope defeats Sheamus for his 7th world title "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton goes as number 8. We all know how Randy Orton is a third generation superstar and how he is meant for greatness in the WWE. In is 8 year career Randy Orton has accomplished what any superstar would hope for. He is he youngest world champion and possibly the best performer of his generation.
"The Viper" goes down as number 8.
This has truly been the decade of decadence for the "Rated R Superstar" Edge, his breakout moment was getting the MITB Briefcase at Wrestlemania 21 and from there on he won his first world title at 2006 and his last world title he won in 2009 and in the span of those three years he had won 9 world championships.
"The Ultimate Opportunist" goes down as number 7
"The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy, many people might disagree with this by calling him a druggie but I like to look at the better side. When I see Jeff Hardy I see a guy who is not afraid to break his back to entertain the fans. A person who will put it all on the line to "Live In The Moment".
Jeff Hardy goes down as number 6.
These past 5 years have practically belonged to the WWE's "Superman". I know that there are many in the IWC that practically hate John Cena. But I like to see it neutrally, John Cena might not know how to wrestle but no one can take away his accomplishments in mere 8 years.
"The Chain Gang Soldier" goes down as number 5.
The 13th time world champion Triple H, in the past 8 years Triple H has left havoc with his trusty sledgehammer and has won the only thing he cares about the WWE championship. The "King of Kings" will go down as one of the greatest in WWE History. The man has accomplished almost more than anyone from his generation.
"The Game" goes down as Number 4.
Chris Jericho is truly the best in the world at what he does, even if he calls us hypocrites and sycophants we just can't help it but be entertained. "The Man of a 1,004 Holds" has won the World Title on 3 different occasions and 2 times Unified Tag Titles (longest reign) with Big Show and Edge since his "second Coming".
"The Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla" goes down as number 3.
Mr. 18-0, The Undertaker "arguably" the greatest performer in WWE History. The man over these past 8 years have made from Ric Flair to Shawn Michaels rest in peace at Wrestlemania. He has 8 world titles under his belt and is currently in a "vegetative state".
"The Deadman" goes down as number 2.
As you can see Shawn Michaels is Half of number 1 because I couldn't pick who should be number 1 HBK or "The other guy".
But back to business, Shawn Michaels is truly "Mr. Wrestlemania" and as that he might not win every time at Wrestlemania but he steals the show every single time he enters at "the grandest stage of all". Shawn Michaels might be retired but us loyal HBK fans can still hear him tuning up the band.
Shawn Michaels, an all time great goes down as half of number 1.
perhaps the greatest wrestler on the planet today, Kurt Angle whether he is in TNA or WWE he is making people tap out. The Only Olympic Gold Medallist in the business is also the only man to hold WWE Title, World Title, TNA Title, WCW Title, and the NJPW Title. Like Triple H he is also a 13 time world champion. He has had some of the greatest matches at Wrestlemania with Brock Lesnar (which he was injured in) and Shawn Michaels.
"The Wrestling Machine" goes down as the other half of number 1."
By the Way who do you think should have been on this slide?
