Pudge A Yankee

The Yankees have just bolstered their lineup with Detroit Tigers catcher Pudge Rodriguez. They gave up Kyle Farnsworth and a minor leaguer for him. I'm sure Yankee fans everywhere are breathing a sigh of relief to be rid of Farnsworth.

Rodriguez is batting .295 with a slugging percentage of .417. He also has a great ability to throw out runners trying to steal. He takes it personally. A definite upgrade.

Give credit to Cashman. He is really fighting hard to get this team into the playoffs. Acquiring Xavier Nady was another plus for this depleted team. With the loss of Hideki Matsui and Jorge Posada, the Yankees have made all the right moves to get where they want to go.
