Detroit Tigers RF/DH Magglio Ordonez will miss 6-8 weeks after breaking his right ankle in a game against the Toronto Blue Jays.  Mags has been relegated to the DH role the past week because of a sore ankle.  He injured the ankle when Miguel Cabrera 3rd inning double and he tried to score from first.  Magglio remained on the ground for a few minutes after sliding and was helped off the field by Tigers trainers.

This is a big blow for the Tigers as Mags was batting .301 with 12 home runs, 59 rbi's and 56 runs.  The Tigers will most likely use Ryan Raburn to replace him in the outfield.  With this injury this could cause the Tigers to make a move before the July 31st trade deadline.

Mags should be back the middle of September if there are no setbacks.  He doesn't have much fantasy value the rest of this season and should be dropped in standard no keeper leagues.  In keepers leagues he may be someone you put on your DL spot if that is available and could be a potential keeper based on your team.
