One of the top transfer prospects in football during the last several years, Bosnian Edin Dzeko, has been linked to many of the top clubs throughout Europe throughout this summer.
Now that the transfer window is in full swing, here are five likely destinations for the Wolfsburg star.
No. 5 Manchester United
Always one of the favorites in any transfer, Manchester United are an extreme long shot to pick up Dzeko as manager Sir Alex Ferguson looks to get players younger than Dzeko (even though he is only 24 years old).
Considering the fact that Manchester City are also in this race to get Dzeko, you never know what Fergie could do as this young superstar is a fish ready to get caught.
No. 4 Inter Milan
The newest player in the Dzeko market, Inter Milan will look to get Dzeko as the new player to start off the Rafa Benitez era in Milan.
Dzeko also is getting pursued by Inter as arch rival AC Milan are also throwing themselves into the Dzeko market, and Inter would love to beat out their arch rivals to get the Bosnian star.
No. 3 Manchester City
The big spenders in football today, Manchester City have recently found themselves faced with the reality that Dzeko will probably not come to Eastlands.
However, you can never count Man City out of anything when it comes to the transfer market, as they look to continue to flex their muscles and win the Premier League by picking up marque players.
No. 2 AC Milan
In the last several years, AC Milan have become a shell of their old selves, as they have witnessed their arch rival (and fellow San Siro tenant Inter) become the best side in Europe and dominate Serie A.
Now is the time for change for the Rossoneri. They can get a player such as Dzeko, who will be a great playmaker and help Milan to once again become European champions.
No. 1 Juventus
The side that has been most heavily linked to Dzeko, Juventus need to have a player such as him to help the Old Lady to get back to her old heights as an Italian power.
Dzeko and Juventus both have admitted that this would be a dream transfer, and it would be huge for Juventus as they would shake up Serie A and once again become a true contender.
