Ed Reed seems to be on a mission to remove himself from the Ravens and quite possibly the NFL.

Reed's latest comments focus on the fact that the Ravens would not send him game film when he requested it a few weeks ago.

Reed described the issue as "minor" and then proceeded to blow the incident way out of proportion.  ..."don't treat me like that after I gave my blood, seat and tears for this guy - for this organization.  I'm putting my life on the line."

Ed, it's a game, please save us the hyperbole.  You may be risking an injury, but putting your life on the line?

That type of comment is getting dangerously close to Kellen Winslow II territory.  Remember the "I'm a soldier!" comment?

Mr. "I don't whine to the press" then took it to another level, "I don't have to be playing for them.  I could retire.  I don't need the money.  They could come and get the money if they want.  Money don't make me.  Money didn't put me here."

The Ravens continue to take the high road on this matter and have not offered any real comment.

This entire episode seems very disingenuous on Reed's part.  It is becoming clearer by the day that Reed is trying to force the Ravens hand in this matter.

My hope is that Ozzie Newsome takes Reed up on his offer to retire as well as his offer to get their money back.

Mr. Reed, you are embarrassing yourself, my advice is to please stop talking to the press before you create so much ill-will that no one wants you on their team.

Or is that the plan?
