Tramon Williams Ailing after Packers' First Practice

Bleacher ReportAnalyst IJuly 29, 2008

Cornerback Tramon Williams had what sounds like some minor injury issues during the night portion of practice on the Green Bay Packers' first day of training camp.

Greg Bedards of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noted that Williams was limping slightly on his left leg during one portion of the practice.

He later reported, "To update on Tramon Williams' injury, he did not participate for the rest of practice but remained on the sidelines. Jarrett Bush took his spot in the nickel."

Tom Pelissero of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported that the injury was to the hip flexor. No word on the severity of the injury yet.

Williams appears to be getting the first shot at the nickel job, but it looks like Bush is next in line, though we still don't know where Will Blackmon and Pat Lee fit into the equation.
