Quarterback is the most important position in the NFL. It is the most talked about, scrutinized, and the biggest money-maker. To be a Quarterback in the NFL, you not only have to be a great player, but a great leader. Leadership is one of the most underrated qualities in sports.
I have decided that I have seen way too many lists that have Wes Welker ahead of Andre Johnson and Frank Gore ahead of Adrian Peterson. I have decided to make a list that actually gets it right. Everyone has their opinions, but I think I will be closer. This is the first of many Top 10 rankings of mine. I hope you enjoy.

10. Donovan Mcnabb
Mcnabb was acquired by the Washington Redskins this off-season. He was very under-appreciated in Philadelphia and it caused him to be under appreciated by many people. He is not what he once was, but he could lead the Redskins to at the most 2nd place in the division

9. Matt Schaub
Matt Shaub was a first time Pro-Bowler last season, where he broke-out and was one of the Top Quarterbacks in the AFC. He is a very tough player that is accurate with a strong arm. He does get to throw to the best receiver in the game in Andre Johnson, but we must not forget that this past season, the teams running back had fumblitis and they had no good running backs. Teams knew they were throwing it. He also had not many good receivers behind Andre...

8. Big Ben
Big Ben is a very talented Quarterback. He does lack what you need to be an elite Quarterback, and that is being a leader. Leadership is half of being a great quarterback He is not a good leader. Leaders lead through example on and off the field. He has acted up and embarrassed his organization and that is not being a good quarterback.... Self-Discipline is an underrated virtue in america and he lacks it.

7. Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers is the best Quarterback in the world under the age of 26. He is still learning and is one of my favorite quarterbacks in the NFL. His TD-INT ratio is astounding, and at this moment, he has the highest passer rating in NFL history. I don't have a clue what passer rating is, but that is still pretty good. The only reason I have him this low is I want to see him win at least one playoff game and there are just so many great QB's in the NFL today.

6. Philip Rivers
In my opinion, one of the most misunderstood athletes in sports, along with Jimmy Clausen is Philip Rivers. People just seem to think he is an a-hole. He never swears, he is a devoted catholic, and is a great family man. He is just so into football and his team. Not one person in the organization doesn't like him. He is a very precise passer. He lacks a little mobility and doesn't have elite arm strength, but one of the most gifted passers in the NFL.

5. Tony Romo
People always will hate Romo. He is an underrated player and a very underrated athlete. He had a better regular season than Brady, had the same stats as Rivers, and had more playoff victories than both. He is an excellent play-maker, and avoids the rush with his feet. If he can go deep in the playoffs this season, I think we can finally put him in the class of Favre, Brady and Brees.

4. Brett Favre
Now things get interesting. I have to admit, I do not like Brett Favre. He is smart though, figuring out a way to skip camp. He knows he is coming back. Everyone knows he is coming back. But for some reason, everyone is talking about it. Every day on Sportscenter, they talk about it. They say, he is coming back. But they keep saying it. Anyway, Favre was a monster last season, putting up the best numbers of his career. He looks like a 10-year-old having fun out there. Sometimes his decision making makes you wonder if his mind is like a 10 year olds, but then he makes a great play right after.

3. Justin Bei-Tom Brady
Yes, I did it. Brady is an elite quarterback, but he didn't show it last season. He had okay numbers and lost in the 1st round in the playoffs. He had his second best season last year, and it wasn't even that good. It shows that he has truly only had one great year, the year God was playing madden with the Patriots. He will always be known as a great for his post-season performances though.

2. Drew Brees
Brees has really evolved into one of the best players in the game. His accuracy is astounding, proving it by completing 70% of his passes last season. He has fantastic pocket-presence for a guy where is offensive line is not that good. He is building a Hall of Fame resume. Lets hope he is not affected by the Madden curse.

1. Peyton Manning
Was there really ever any doubt? Peyton Manning is the best regular season quarterback of all-time. He still has one championship under his belt, and his career is far from over. He has been the most consistent player in the NFL for the last 10 years. He is fantastic at reading the other team and changing the play at the line of scrimmage.
