Bleacher Report's College Football Top25: Week 14 Comments

Every week, members of Bleacher Report's college football community cast their ballots in the BR Top 25. A sampling of their rankings, analysis, and commentary is reproduced here. Georgia deserves the top spot for the play they are showing right now. They may not have the best record or have the most explosive start, but they are the #1 team in the country right now

West Virginia showed versus UConn that they have the most explosive offense in the country, putting 66 up versus the Huskies

Hawaii deserves a high spot, but unfortunately another WAC team will go undefeated and not have a chance to play for the National Title

It shows how flawed the ranking system is in Collge Football when the #1 Missouri is an underdog in its own conference championship game, and rightly so

Does Ohio State deserve a potential spot in the championship with a pattycake schedule and a loss to Illinois?

Quick stat: Three SEC teams have played in BCS National Title Games. They have gone undefeated and outscored their opponents 85-44

In one week the Oregon Ducks have gone from a National Title bound team with the Heisman frontrunner to a poll bottom-dweller missing their top two quarterbacks

What I wouldn't give for a playoff system this year.

Wow has this college football season been wild and crazy. Do we need a playoff system now or what? West Virginia was my sleeper team to go to the National Championship game. Now all they have to do is win against Pitt. If the Mountaineers do that, then they will go on to play...oh who knows who they will play with how this season has played out so far.

* Missouri and West Virginia are neck and neck for the #1 spot in the rankings. Let's hope that both teams win-out, as we'd see one of the great offensive showdowns in recent memory.

* Here's to hoping that Ohio State and their soft schedule take a trip to the Rose Bowl.
