The New England Revolution has just defeated the Monarcas of Morelia in the latest saga of the Superliga 2010. The winning goal was scored by Marko Perovic after a corner kick and foul with a right foot kick into the left side of the goal post.

The game itself was dominated by the New England Revolution from the beginning with the team, enjoying a hometown advantage. The game was played at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

It was an exciting game with New England executing the ball and play while Morelia was on the defensive. Morelia put up great resistance and almost scored an equalizer but the goalie in New England rebounded the attempts to score.

The game has significance since Steve Ralston has announced that he will retire after this game. It appears that Mr. Ralston will be leaving with a high note in his long industrious career with New England.

The Superliga 2010 Group B Classifications have New England in first place with six points followed by Morelia with four points, Pumas with one point, and Chicago with zero points.

The Chicago Fire is playing their Group B game against the Pumas in Chicago. It remains to be seen who will survive between the two teams.
