Brett Myers is being considering by the New York Mets. The Mets need a new starter to get them over the hump. Myers could be the starter their looking for the rotation. The Houston Astros thrower is pitching good for the Astros. Myers record is 7-6, 93 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.35. With Hisanori Takahaski looking lost his last couple of starts. And Perez and Maine looking like this is their last year in a Mets uniform. Myers would be a good pick up right now for the rest of the season. He would bring more power to the Mets pitching staff. The Astros looking to deal contracts since, they out of the running for postseason play the rest of the season. Myers has mutual option for $8 million in salary next year, but has a $2 milllion in a buy out. To stay with the Braves in the NL race. This is a no brainer for the New York Mets. Myers is there for the taking.
