Simulating Crimson Tide's 2010 Season: Will Virtual Be Reality for Bama?

Here is Alabama's 2010 season simulation on NCAA 11' (new college football game).

I simulated all of the games on SuperSim (play by play simulation) so I could see the individual plays happen. I recorded the player of the game for each game throughout the season.

All of the records and rankings of Alabama and its opponents are from the season outcomes as they happen week by week.

Alabama had a great season with a few great games with some of their biggest rivals.

So check it out.

See where they ended up at the end of the season!

Week 1: San Jose St (0-0) vs No. 1 Alabama (0-0)

"Mauling the Hapless"

The Crimson Tide open the 2010 season with a blowout victory over San Jose State. Mark Ingram led #1 Alabama with a record day on the ground as he ran past Spartan defenders into the end zone all afternoon.

Week 2: No. 17 Penn State (1-0) vs No. 1 Alabama (1-0)

...A record Alabama crowd sees the Tide edge Penn State in the 4th

In the heavy rain, Greg McElroy led the Crimson Tide to the big win over #17 Penn State. McElroy ran 6 yards for the winning score with 56 seconds left in the 4th quarter.

QB Greg McElroy, 25/32, 317 yds, 2 TDs, 4 car, 13 yds, 1 TD

Week 3: No. 1 Alabama (2-0) at Duke (2-0)

"Lowering The Boom"
...Crimson Tide take Duke to school

It was a blowout win in Durham for the Crimson Tide. Darius Hanks made Greg McElroy look good all day with 3 TD catches.

Mark Ingram had a big day and ran for 213 yards. McElroy threw for 4 TDs. The defensive was like a stone wall allowing just 4 first downs, and 124 yards of total offense.

Game MVP:

WR Darius Hanks, 7 rec 122 yards, 3 TDs

Week 4: No. 1 Alabama (3-0) at No. 15 Arkansas (3-0)

"Answering The Call"
....Ingram leads Tide to big win in Fayettville

The Crimson Tide opened up SEC play with a formidable opponent in Arkansas. Alabama had to fight and make some plays to win in the end of this one.

With 1:21 left to play Mark Ingram ran the ball 12 yards for the go-ahead score. Alabama leaned on Ingram throughout the entire ball game as he had another huge day.

RB Mark Ingram, 40 car, 139 yds, 3 TDs, 7 rec, 84 yds

Week 5: No. 15 Florida (3-1) vs No. 1 Alabama (4-0)

Alabama wins...35-28

"How Sweet It Is!"
...Alabama sneaks past rival Florida 35-28

The rivalry between Alabama and Florida continued in Tuscaloosa in the huge week 5 matchup. The Crimson Tide did anything and everything to get the victory.

A touchdown was scored on the 3rd play of the game when Dre' Kirkpatrick returned an interception of John Brantley 38 yards to the house.

The Alabama fans went crazy when Trent Richardson returned a punt for a touchdown in the 4th quarter. Richardson's TD proved to be the winning score as Alabama went on to win 35-28.

RB/KR Trent Richardson, 13 car, 78 yds, 4 PR, 92 yds, 1 TD

Week 6: No. 1 Alabama (5-0) at South Carolina (1-3)

"Perfect On The Road"
...Alabama's undefeated tour moves through Columbia

Alabama goes on the road and comes out with another win. Greg McElroy was firing all night at the South Carolina defense and found Julio Jones twice in the end zone. Jones also returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the 2nd half.

Week 7: Ole Miss (3-2) vs No. 1 Alabama (6-0)

"Flawless!"
...Alabama notches another win, this time against the Rebels of Ole Miss

The Crimson Tide took care of business and did it mostly through the air. Greg McElroy and Julio Jones continued their success as they both had career days. The Alabama defense picked off Ole Miss QB Nathan Stanley 4 times in the win.

"What Hit Em'?"
...The Crimson Tide rub it in against hated Tennessee

The Alabama fans who travelled to Knoxville were treated to a tasty victory over their bitter rivals the Tennessee Vols. The two Alabama running backs, Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson ran wild as the Crimson Tide got their 8th win of the season. The Vols could not figure out the "Wild Tide" formation all afternoon.

"No Room For Error!"
...No. 1 Alabama downs the hated Tigers in a thrilling overtime game

The Crimson Tide pulled it out in overtime in the closest game of the season for Alabama. Alabama kicker Jeremy Shelley kicked a 39-yard field goal to tie the game 23-23 as time expired in the 4th quarter. LSU had the ball in the first overtime and could not get into the end zone. The Tigers were forced to try a 27 yard field goal which was made by kicker Trent Hebert. Alabama took 4 plays to score as Greg McElroy threw a 14 yard pass to TE Preston Dial for the winning TD.

QB Greg McElroy, 19/35, 256 yds, 2 TDs, 1 Int

Week 11: Mississippi State (5-4) vs No. 1 Alabama (9-0)

"The Bus Rolls On"
...Alabama is rolling through their schedule

Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson once again ran the show with the Wild Tide formation. Mississippi State had no answer for Ingram and Richardson as the Tide pounded their way to a 27-17 victory in Tuscaloosa.

RB Mark Ingram, 23 car, 158 yds, 2 TD, 2 rec 17 yds

Week 12: Georgia State vs No. 1 Alabama (10-0)

"Total Domination"
...Alabama clobbers Georgia State

The Crimson Tide dominated from the 1st whistle to the last. It wasn't even a contest in Tuscaloosa. The Alabama defense had it's first shutout of the season.

Week 13: No. 14 Auburn (9-2) vs No. 1 Alabama (11-0)

"Still Standing"
No. 1 Alabama outplays rival Auburn in the final seconds to take the Iron Bowl

For the second time this season Jeremy Shelley kicked a field goal with no time left the clock. This time his 23-yard field goal won the Iron Bowl for Alabama. Shelley was 0 for 3 before the final game winning kick.

SEC Championship Week: No. 1 Alabama (12-0) vs. No. 24 Tennessee (8-4)

"A Job Well Done"
...Alabama's McElroy brings the SEC title back to Tuscaloosa

The Crimson Tide are crowned the 2010 SEC Champions with their second victory of the season against the Tennessee Vols. The win should put Alabama in the 2010 National Title game. Mark Ingram ran for 127 yds but, all of the scoring was done by Greg McElroy through the air.

National Championship Week: No. 1 Alabama (13-0) vs No. 2 Stanford (12-0)

"Stanford's Luck Runs Out, Alabama Repeats"
...Ingram and the Tide Champions again

Mark Ingram ran for 144 yds and punched in two touchdowns in the BCS National Championship Game held at University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Alabama defense shut down Stanford QB and Heisman trophy winner Andrew Luck. He had just 128 yards passing and one TD with two interceptions.

Looks like it will another historic year in Tuscaloosa for Alabama.
