2010-11 Oakland Raiders Starting Offense
Projected line-up for the upcoming season.
An immediate upgrade at the most pivotal position. Expect Gradkowski to back up JC8.
With the offensive line being somewhat improved and the addition of a respectable aerial assault, expect the raiders to be able to run the ball more efficiently in 2010. I expect Darren McFadden to play the role of the home run hitter, and look forward to seeing him making plays in both the run and pass. Look for Luke Lawton to win the starting fullback gig, assuming the Raiders don't bring in a veteran FB to compete for a job in training camp.
WR No. 1—Louis Murphy
Out of all of the receivers on the roster, this guy makes the big plays. Think back to his week one touchdown vs San Diego (should have had two, but that's just my opinion) game tying touchdown vs the Bengals, and his two four quarter touchdowns vs the Steelers. If this guy isn't in the starting lineup I'm gonna be one pissed off camper.
WR No. 2—Chazeray "Chaz" Schilens
Chaz deserves his shot opposite Murphy in the starting lineup. Unfortunately, Chaz has been battling injuries throughout his short career. But he has proven that if healthy, he can do damage to the opposition. At 6'4" and with a 4.4 40, he has the physical tools to be great. Just needs to stay healthy.
Could have a pro-bowl caliber season as Jason Campbell is known to check down to his backs and tight ends. Look for him to have stats similar to what Chris Cooley was producing from 07-09.
Still just an average LT, expect him to improve or else lose his job to Jared Velheer.
After a horrendous start to his career, this caveman has found a home at LG. Probably our most consistent lineman but needs to avoid the injury bug.
Not much of a pass protector, but can make the blocks in the run game. Look for Chris Morris to push him in training camp, but ultimately it's his job to lose.
Look for the rookie to take this job after an intense training camp battle with Cooper Carlisle.
Look for him to start at right tackle. Hey, if all else fails, at least they can use him as a nose tackle during the opposing teams field goal attempts, as he has three for his career.
