Chicago Blackhawks Fans Know One Thing: Their Ice Crew Brings the Heat

For every team there is an image. That image is molded from hard work and determination. The image leads to perhaps a Stanley Cup for one team every year.

While fans enjoy the first celebration in 49 years, the ladies of the "Ice Crew" have been celebrating for years.

While they have remained dedicated to a team that has had its ups and downs, one thing is certain: They brought the fire 110 percent of every game. Win or lose, the pure desire to cheer is there.

A crew of 14 women drew the attention of crowds in 2009-10 and is a huge marketing tool by attending organization functions on a weekly basis.

Aside from the stars, who would be able to turn a bar promotion into an incessant rant on Hawk talk...or at least drool city?

Becky and Brittany

Becky...She is from Detroit, MI but claims to be 100 percent Hawk. She has been with the Ice Crew for three years now and has enjoyed being a part of such a positive organization in a great city!

Brittany...From Palos Park, she has just finished her first year as part of the Ice Crew. Her favorite thing is getting to meet many important people, hanging out with the girls, and being able to skate at the United Center!

Ashley (x2)

Ashley G...From Glen Elyn, Ashley has been a Crew member for four years now. She joined the Ice Crew to surround herself with awesome people and to be a part of the greatest game on earth.

Ashley L...From Glenview, Ashley L. has been a Crew member for three years now. Her favorite thing about the Ice Crew is interacting with the Chicago fans.

Claire and Kelly

Claire...In her first year, Claire is from Indianapolis, IN. Her favorite thing about being on the Ice Crew is being able to support such an amazing team and this exciting city.

Kelly...Being with the Hawks for three years now, she is from Naperville. She loves all of the interaction with Blackhawks fans and being involved with one of the best teams in Chicago sports.

Colleen and Paige

Colleen...She is not only a Chicago native but also is one of the senior members of the team, having five years of experience. Her favorite part about being a member of the Ice Crew is the rush of skating in front of 20,000 loyal Blackhawks fans.

Paige...From Oak Park, Paige has been part of the Ice Crew for three years now. Her joy at being a member comes from the rush of skating at the United Center.

Jenna and Talia

Jenna...Originally from Schiller Park, Jenna has been a member now for almost four years. While unable to pinpoint one aspect, she loves to skate during the games, watch the games against the glass, and enjoy the fact that it's brought her some of her best friends...and of course, the opportunity to rock the little uniform.

Talia...Also a Chicago native, Talia has been with the Crew for three years. She mostly enjoys meeting the fans and being a part of this team/game. With hockey being back bigger than ever in Chicago, she loves being a part of it.

Leslie and Molly

Leslie...Another of the Chicago crop, she just finished her first year. She loves supporting her favorite NHL team of the Original Six and getting to talk shop with fellow fans.

Molly...Originally from Oak Park, Molly has now been with the Crew for two years. She enjoys assisting and leading a rowdy crowd of 20,000 fans, always meeting new faces and being able to watch each game.

Yanina and Laura

Yanina...An Argentinian at heart, Yanina has now been with the Hawks organization for eight years! She specifically enjoys getting a bit of an adrenaline rush when she gets to go skate out on the United Center ice.

Laura...Completing her first year as a Crew member, Laura is from Traverse City, MI. She enjoys getting to meet all the fans, as they bring all the energy to the games.

With Ice Crew tryouts around the corner, look for a change of shoveling to commence come October.
