As we all know the Calderon, Reggie Evans for Diaw and Chandler deal is all but dead. It was a bad deal from the Bobcats anyway and it proves Michael Jordan is a total waste of space as a GM. Is all hope of a good trade and a decent possible playoff contending team gone? No, not if the Raptors do something like this.

I vaguely recall there being something about the Raptors wanting to pick up New Orleans' 17th pick from 2009 draft Collison (I think it was on here actually in another article) and there have been rumours involving Okafor coming to Raptors possibly at some point for, at the time, for who knows what!

Anyway, I want to bring this all up again into an actual trade proposal that I think might be a plausible alternative to what just fell through and better for both teams in the short run. (What I think the Raptors should do in the long term I will write in another article.)

Calderon+Evans+"dust bunnies" (my word for benchwarmers)+trade exception (hopefully not the whole thing, only part of it or better yet none of it at all) for Collison (future starting PG) and Okafor (get rid of him later or wait till his contract expires).

Whatever you do, don't trade any of your picks!

Anyway, what do you guys think?
