The Maple Leafs will make an official annoucement soon regarding a trade with Anaheim Ducks for Bobby Ryan. Several internet sources have revealed that this trade will go into effect in the next couple of weeks. 

The details regarding what the leafs will give up in return for Ryan is unknown at the moment. Names like Jerry D'Amigo, Brad Ross, Ruegsegger, Keith Aulie are in play. Not known if Kaberle is involved.

Ryan trade wouldn't even happen with Kaberle, just saying. Honestly, I don't know if the leafs will be able to acquire Ryan without involving big name player on our team. Without the possibilities of many draft picks, the leafs will have to cough up some talented prospects.

Meanwhile, Maple Leafs prospect Nazem Kadri is making a lot of strides towards the possibility of joining the Leafs this season. He might be penciled in but he has a long way to go.
