NFL '08-'09 Season Predictions

Ivahn LachowskySenior Analyst IJuly 28, 2008

The NFL regular season starts wednesday Sept. 4 but here are some early predictions for the year.

AFC EAST

No. 1 New England Patriots

No. 2 New York Jets

No. 3 Buffalo Bills

No. 4 Miami Dolphins

No surprise this is still the Patriots division with the Jets and the Bills battling it out for second and the fish are still stinking the place up.

No. 1 Cleveland Browns

No. 2 Pittsburgh Steelers

No. 3 Cincinnati Bengals

No. 4 Baltimore Ravens

Overall this a two team show between Cleveland and Pittsburgh while Cincinnati and Baltimore battle for the gutter.

AFC South

No. 1 Indianapolis Colts

No. 2 Jacksonville Jaguars

No. 3 Tennessee Titans

No. 4 Houston Texans

I have a feeling the Colts will make some noise this year.

No. 1 San Diego Chargers

No. 2 Kansas City Cheifs

No. 3 Oakland Raiders

No. 4 Denver Broncos

This division is weak with the exception of San Diego while I think Denver quarterback Jay Cutler is junk and will sink his team.

No. 1 Dallas Cowboys

No. 2 Washington Redskins

No. 3 New York Giants

No. 4 Philadelphia Eagles

The Cowboys have been knockin on the door lately while Andy Reid and the Eagles are headed for the cellar.

No. 1 Minnesota Vikings

No. 2 Green Bay Packers

No. 3 Detroit Lions

No. 4 Chicago Bears

I believe the Vikings are poised to conquer this division and Jon Kitna fails on his 10 win prediction for the Lions again.

No. 1 Seattle Seahawks

No. 2 Arizona Cardinals

No. 3 St Louis Rams

No. 4 San Francisco 49ers

The NFL's most boring and predictable division.

No. 1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

No. 2 New Orleans Saints

No. 3 Carolina Panthers

No. 4 Atlanta Falcons

Tampa coach Jon Gruden continues to steer his team to port while the Falcons hit the bottom again what a shame.

Oh by the way, Patriots over the Cowboys in Superbowl 43 42-17.
