Power Ranking the 50 Best Players in the 2010 FIFA World Cup

In this 2010 FIFA World Cup, there were many fantastic players and performances. From a player such as Wesley Sneijder to a Landon Donovan or a young ace such as a Mesut Ozil or a Javier Hernandez, there were some great players that played in South Africa.
With the World Cup final now tomorrow, here is the Power Ranking the 50 Best Players in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
No. 50 Winston Reid
Nation: New Zealand
Goals: One
Matches: Three
The man who scored the goal in stoppage time against Slovakia in the Kiwi's first match, Winston Reid gave New Zealand their first ever World Cup point with that goal.
After that, Reid was a major part of the All-White's squad that managed to finish third overall in Group F, and New Zealand also managed a draw in all three of their World Cup matches.
No. 49 Samuel Eto'o
Nation: Cameroon
Goals: Two
Matches: Three
Cameroon might have had a terrible World Cup, but captain Samuel Eto'o was easily the Indomitable Lions best player with two goals in three matches.
Eto'o's future with Cameroon is unknown right now, but the longtime Cameroon international did manage to score all of Cameroon's goals in this World Cup.
No. 48 Michael Bradley

Overall, Michael Bradley was one of the best young players in this World Cup, and put together a great effort in each match for the United States.
As USA coach Bob Bradley's son, he also helped to get rid of the notion that he continues to play as the coaches son, and will be one of the best American players for a really long time.
No. 47 Didier Drogba

The captain of the Ivory Coast, Didier Drogba broke his arm in a friendly right before the World Cup against Japan, but he made sure he still played for the Ivory Coast in "Africa's World Cup."
Drogba was able to help the Ivory Coast get a 1-1-1 record, and was also able to score against Brazil in the Ivory Coast's 3-1 loss.
No. 46 Siphiwe Tshabalala

The man who scored the first goal in the 2010 World Cup, Siphiwe Tshabalala scored one of the best goals in the entire tournament before doing a elaborate goal celebration that was the best of this World Cup.
Tshabalala also was a major part of the South African side that managed to beat France to close out their World Cup campaign.

The goalscorer in Slovenia's first ever World Cup victory, Robert Koren was also the captain of a Slovenian side that barely missed out on getting into the knockout stage of their second World Cup.
Koren's efforts were huge overall for Slovenia as they were expected to finish last in Group C, and his efforts will not be forgotten by Slovenian fans everywhere.
No. 44 Lee Chung-Yong

The goalscorer in both of South Korea's losses, Lee Chung-Yong still was the joint top-goalscorer in the World Cup for South Korea.
Overall, Yong was a major reason why South Korea were able to advance from the group for only the second time in South Korea's history, and he continues to develop into one of the best South Korean footballers of all time.
No 43 Cristiano Ronaldo

The captain of Portugal and one of the top footballers in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo was able to get Portugal through the Group of Death before Portugal fell to Spain.
Ronaldo was also able to score his first goal for Portugal in over a year, despite the fact that it was extremely fluky and it was against North Korea.

The leader in Switzerland's stunning 1-0 win over defending European champion Spain in Durban, Diego Benaglio had a World Cup to remember with two clean sheets and only one goal allowed.
Sadly for Switzerland, they failed to advance from the group, but Diego Benaglio was fantastic in the goal.

Portugal's goalkeeper, Eduardo did not concede any goals in the group stage (with Portugal of course in the group of death) and the only goal he allowed came on a rebound from Spain's David Villa.
Eduardo's goalkeeping was instrumental in Portugal tying for least goals allowed in the World Cup with one, and he nearly got Portugal into the quarterfinals.
No. 40 Kalu Uche

Nigeria's main hit man in this World Cup, Kalu Uche scored two goals for the Super Eagles in South Africa as they failed to advance from Group B.
Uche was Nigeria's best player in this World Cup, and if the rest of Nigeria played like him, they should have advanced.
No. 39 Kevin-Prince Boateng

Allowed by FIFA to join Ghana just a month before the World Cup, Kevin-Prince Boateng was able to thrive for Ghana as they were able to advance to the quarterfinals for the first time ever.
Boateng was also able to score the first goal against the United States for Ghana, and was one of Ghana's top offensive threats in South Africa.

Proclaimed as the best footballer in the world going into this World Cup, Lionel Messi did not fulfill expectations for Argentina as he was held goalless and found his nation knocked out in the quarterfinal.
However, he did help set up some great scoring chances for his teammates and still was able to show off his brilliance to the world.
No. 37 Giovanni van Bronckhorst

The captain of the Netherlands, Giovanni van Bronckhorst will play his final international match in tomorrow's World Cup final, but he still has been huge for the Dutch in South Africa.
van Bronckhorst scored the goal of the tournament against Uruguay in the semifinal, and has been able to keep together the Dutch squad despite several rifts that could have split the squad.

The goalkeeper behind Uruguay's incredible World Cup run, Fernando Muslera was stellar in the goal for La Celeste OlĂmpica throughout the World Cup.
Of course, Muslera had a clean sheet in all three group stage matches, and also was the goalkeeper in the net when Uruguay beat Ghana on penalties.

The captain of the German squad that made their third straight World Cup semifinal, Phillipp Lahm has been a rock in the defense of Germany throughout the World Cup.
With his great leadership skills and great play, Germany might be able to win this World Cup (their first in 20 years) tomorrow in Soccer City thanks to Lahm.
No. 34 Lee Jung-Soo

A central defender, Lee Jung-Soo was still able to score two goals despite being a defender as his two goals were huge in South Korea advancing from the group stage.
Soo's impact for South Korea cannot be underestimated and he was one of the main reasons why they advanced from the group stage.

South Korea's captain, Ji-Sung Park was a major factor behind South Korea advancing from Group B and also scored a major goal in South Korea's win against Greece.

The force behind Chile making the round of 16 and winning their first World Cup match since 1962, Alexis Sanchez did everything for Chile as he continues to emerge as a young star.
Sanchez was able to do everything on the pitch for Chile, and they played great despite losing 3-0 to Brazil to end their World Cup dream.

The young German keeper that suddenly became the starter just before the World Cup, Manuel Neuer did a great job in the German goal as he got Germany within one win of the World Cup final.
Sadly, Neuer did not get a chance to play in the World Cup final due to Germany's 1-0 loss to Spain in the semifinal, but he still has had a fantastic World Cup.
No. 29 Javier Hernandez

Known as Chicharito (Little Pea), Javier Hernandez will be the first ever Mexican to play for Manchester United next month, but he also had an incredible World Cup for Mexico.
With goals against Argentina and France, Hernandez showed he can score in huge matches, and his play was fantastic for El Tri throughout the World Cup.

A young goalkeeper playing in his first ever major tournament for the Dutch, Maarten Stekelenburg has played admirably for the Dutch as they reached their first World Cup final since 1978.
Stekelenburg has made some huge saves for the Dutch, and whenever they need him the most, he has stepped his play up to keep the Dutch in this tournament.
No. 27 Brett Holman

The main goalscorer for Australia in this World Cup, Brett Holman was able to score a goal against Ghana and Serbia to help the Socceroos in their failed attempt to advance from the group stage.
Holman was really able to raise his profile with his World Cup, and will look to help the Socceroos advance from their group in 2014.
No. 26 Bastian Schweinsteiger

One of the veterans on the German squad despite being 25 years old, Bastian Schweinsteiger was an incredible play maker throughout the World Cup as he helped Germany reach the semifinals.
Schweinsteiger was able to also prove Diego Maradona wrong with Germany's 4-0 mauling of Argentina, and was a player that helped set up several goals.

A starter for the Netherlands in this World Cup after a horrific leg injury late last year, Robin Van Persie has been huge for the Dutch as they are in the World Cup final.
Van Persie still has not been able to get his game fully going yet, but he certainly will be looking to get it going as with Van Persie in top form, the Netherlands should not lose.

Another Dutch player on this list, Dirk Kuyt has done everything for the Dutch in this World Cup and is their secret weapon as they get ready to face Spain.
Without Kuyt, the Netherlands would definitely not be here, but Kuyt has been nothing short of spectacular as the Dutch are in their first World Cup final since 1978.

Paraguay's goalkeeper and captain during their great run into the World Cup semifinals, Justo Villar was spectacular throughout the World Cup and was one of the top five goalkeepers in South Africa in this World Cup.
From having three clean sheets (with two goals allowed in his other two matches) to winning a penalty shootout against Japan, Villar was Paraguay's best player without question.

Even though he only played two matches in the World Cup, Elano was able to score two huge goals for Brazil in the group stage before missing the rest of the World Cup with injury.
The central midfielder had a fantastic World Cup, and the Galatasaray will hope that this World Cup will help him get selected for the 2014 World Cup.

Ghana's goalkeeper during their great World Cup run, Richard Kingson continued to come up huge throughout the World Cup with some incredible saves to keep Ghana in each match that they were in.
Kingson might have been Ghana's keeper when they got eliminated on penalties to Uruguay, but Kingson was just incredible throughout the World Cup.
No. 20 Luis Suarez

Even though he will be remembered for his handball on the line more than anything else from this World Cup, Luis Suarez was a major reason why Uruguay made it that far with three fantastic goals.
The Ajax striker showed he is one of the best young players in the world with his performance in South Africa, and despite his handball, he should have great memories over what has happened in South Africa.
No. 19 Arjen Robben

Even though he picked up an injury just before the World Cup that put his World Cup in doubt, Arjen Robben came on in the Netherlands final group stage match and has not stopped since.
Since Robben has started to play, the Dutch have been almost unstoppable and Robben of course scored the biggest goal of his career against Uruguay in what turned out to be the winning goal of the match.

One of Argentina's best players in this World Cup, Carlos Tevez was able to bag a brace against Mexico in the round of 16, and was a huge figure for Argentina until their quarterfinal loss to Germany.

After a great World Cup, Andres Iniesta will now be playing in the biggest match of his life as Spain find themselves in the World Cup final against the Netherlands.
Throughout the World Cup, Iniesta has been fantastic for Spain and he is a major reason why Spain have made it this far as Iniesta's play in midfield has been spectacular.

Another top attacking option for Brazil, Robinho was able to silence his critics with a solid World Cup despite Brazil's early elimination in the quarterfinal.
Robinho did have a goal in that fateful quarterfinal, and he should be moving back to Europe this year.

Spain's main play maker, Xavi has not fully shown his brilliance in this World Cup with his great play making ability, but he still has been huge as Spain reached their first World Cup final.

Despite Brazil's early elimination from the World Cup, Luis Fabiano had a fantastic World Cup for Brazil as he was able to score three goals and be a major attacking force throughout the World Cup.
Going into the World Cup, Fabiano had not scored for Brazil since September of 2009, but he was fantastic throughout the World Cup.
No. 11 Landon Donovan

The star behind the Americans incredible run in the World Cup, Landon Donovan really proved himself to be a star with some clutch goals and fantastic play to get the USA into the round of 16.
Donovan of course scored that great goal against Algeria in stoppage time, and also scored crucial goals against Slovenia and Ghana as the USA barely missed out on advancing.

Even though he missed nearly two matches due to suspension, Miroslav Klose has continued his great form for Germany in this World Cup, as he is only one goal away from having five goals in three straight World Cup's.
Klose is a deadly striker for Germany, and there is no question they wouldn't have gotten this far without him.

Slovakia's main goalscorer during the World Cup, Robert Vittek helped Slovakia advance from their group in their first ever World Cup with three goals in the group stage.

From scoring the winning goal in added time against the United States to scoring the winning penalty against Serbia to give Ghana Africa's first World Cup win on their continent, Gyan did a ton to make Ghana's run such a success.
