How's it going Bleacher Creatures !??

I have been wondering about this topic for a while now but, I never really got to it.

Instead of ranking the superstars of the major promotions WWE and TNA on all their various accomplishments and their achviements throughout their respective careers, I thought why not make a slideshow ranking the superstars on their pure in-ring ability?

The list is pretty basic, like I said, I have taken the top 20 talents but, I have excluded any Divas or Knockouts from the list due to the fact that most female wrestlers are a joke nowadays.

It would be nice to see a list not dominated by John Cena and Randy Orton.

From, the advice of other writers here on B/R, I have made the scaling a lot tougher.

I have rated their "In-Ring Ability," their "Quality Of Match," and where their abilities are now.

Remember, this list is concerning the stars now, if you don't see some notable names just think how they wrestle now.

These are just MY opinions.

20. Randy Orton-WWE

Ability From 1-10: 7
Quality Of Match: 8

Ability Now?: Staying Steady

"The Viper" Randy Orton starts this slideshow.

At first, I really didn't think he should have been in the top 20.

He does get a bit boring and dull at times in the ring, and now with his face turn, he is getting dominated.

But, Orton has competed in some very memorable matches in a still young career. He had that violent match against Mick Foley, that epic match against Shawn Michaels and he had a really good match against Chris Benoit.

With six Heavyweight Title reigns, Randy has established himself as one of the biggest stars in the pro wrestling industry.

19. Ken Anderson-TNA

Kenkennedy_biobild_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 7
Quality Of Match: 8

Ability Now?: On the rise

The biggest loudmouth in the industry is at No. 19.

I honestly really do get impressed by what Anderson can do in the ring.

The guy can really work a match well and he is not limited at all in the ring.

He can do a bit of everything, he can fly a little, perform some power moves, get in your face, and dissect an opponent.

I am a big Anderson fan and I really do hope he can get that push that will make him a headline name in pro wrestling.

18. John Morrison-WWE

11569882_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 8
Quality Of Match: 7

Ability Now?: On the rise

When I look at Morrison, I see a guy that has the tools to be a bona fide stud in WWE.

He has got the look, the gimmick, the popularity, good charisma but, most importantly, he can flat-out wrestle.

He performs moves in the ring that other wrestlers can't even think about adding to their respective movesets.

Some like to knock the lack of power in his moves but, the way I look at it, there were plenty of great wrestlers without power in their arsenal.

Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Edge, etc., the list goes on and on about guys that have had great HOF careers without that powerhouse finisher.

17. Jay Lethal-TNA

Picture-3_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 9
Quality Of Match: 6

Ability Now?: On the rise

Everyone knew Jay Lethal was going to be on the list, it was simply a matter of when he was gonna pop up.

The thing that annoys me on Lethal is that he has all the potential in the world, but he can't consistently go out there and give a great match.

But regardless, he is only in his mid 20's and it feels like he has been around forever now.

His stock is endless, he just needs to stop relying on pure ability and put some more effort out in the ring.

16. The Undertaker-WWE

Undertaker_smoky_entrance_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 7
Quality Of Match: 10

Ability Now?: Slowly declining

I probably am going to get bombarded by comments telling me the Taker should be No. 1, but he really shouldn't be.

The list says current in-ring ability and well, WWE goes half the year without The Undertaker anyway so, he is always sharp in the ring and not rusty.

Now, the reason he should be on the list is obvious, he has competed in the greatest matches in WWE history, his two matches againest Shawn, instant classics but, he also had some great bouts with Mick Foley and Stone Cold that should be remembered.

He has lost a few steps but still deserves to be on the list.

15. Edge-WWE

Edgehy7_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 8
Quality Of Match: 8

Ability Now?: Slowly declining

For, some people Edge should be a little higher, I have him at a very solid No. 15.

He has lost an obvious step the last couple of years and I miss his old risk-taking style. Still, he can give consistent matches every time, unlike the gifted Jay Lethal.

All fans knew that Edge was going to have his day in the sun and win a World Title.

He has come out in a big way though, winning nine major titles, and has become easily one of the top performers of his generation.

14. "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero- TNA

11_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 8
Quality Of Match: 8

Ability Now?: Staying Steady

In reality, Edge and "The Pope" could have went either way, I went with D'Angelo cause his move set is a lot more athletic than Edge's.

Cool moves like the face breaker and Dinero Express can impress anyone.

WWE never gave the guy a real shot, he could have been that fresh new main eventer face for the company instead of Mayo Man Sheamus but, for some reason, they didn't see it and ended up releasing him.

Oh well, WWE's loss is TNA's gain.

13. Evan Bourne-WWE

Evan-bourne_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 9
Quality Of Match: 7

Ability Now?: On the rise

Maybe the next big babyface, Evan Bourne?

WWE certainly thinks so with his ridiculous recent push.

He is blessed with tremendous ability and WWE has even lifted the "Shooting Star Press" ban for Bourne because he has completely mastered the move.

If Bourne was just a bit bigger, we could have seen him win the WWE Title already, but all good things happen in time.

Maybe, what hurts him a little is the lack of any power moves and "Air Bourne" does cloud his other good moves.

I think best-case scenario for Evan Bourne's career is if he has the career of my next pick.

12. Rob Van Dam-TNA

Rvd-tna-iphone-wallpaper_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 9
Quality Of Match: 7

Ability Now?: Slowly declining

Thank god RVD decided to sign with TNA.

Seeing him in PG WWE would have been terrible, he just isn't a performer that can truly show off with rules in place. I mean could we live without the Van Daminator?

If there is one thing that has haunted Van Dam threw out his entire career, it is that he has never had that stand out match that has stood out in his career.

As of right now, it would probably be his win over John Cena at ECW's One Night Stand.

All of his matches are good, but not great and he usually out shows his opponent.

11. Amazing Red-TNA

17_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 10
Quality Of Match: 6

Ability Now?: Staying Steady

Man... if this talent was in WWE and the CruiserWeight Belt was still around, he would have like 10 reigns by now or an extremely long reign.

He is another TNA star that I wish could be probably used a little more. When is the last time he was getting taken seriously?

He is TNA's Evan Bourne and if WWE can give Bourne a push, why not the same for Red.

10. Kofi Kingston-WWE

5c5380a29e73cf20881f82919450b9bc_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 9
Quality Of Match: 7

Ability Now?: Staying steady

The WWE hasn't had that all around great lovable face in while not named John Cena, Kofi looks like he is that new guy.

His crazy innovative style in the ring has gotten him US, IC and Tag Title reigns.

Yet, the big title, the WWE Title has eluded the grasp of the high-flying superstar.

I really hope he isn't on his way to becoming the new Shelton Benjamin because that would simply be waste of a HUGE talent.

9. Douglas Williams-TNA

Doug_williams_9982_1027506a_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 10
Quality Of Match: 6

Ability Now?: Staying Steady

One word describes this man and that is simply PHYSICAL.

He is very violent in the ring and doesn't allow the opponent to breathe.

He has promised to bring prestige and glory back to the X-Division and to the title, and boy has he backed that statement up.

Unfortunately, his opponents don't put up much of a fight so, he dominates and wins, making the matches not as fun to watch. Thus, the low Quality Of Match rating.

8. Motor City Machine Guns-TNA

Motor_city_machine_guns_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 10
Quality Of Match: 7

Ability Now?: On the rise

The most ELECTRIFYING team in all of pro wrestling, The Guns gotta make my top 10.

This is how good they are, if Sabin and Shelley weren't teaming, both individually could have made the list.

I probably like Sabin a bit more than Shelley and I would like to see two TNA originals get a main event push in the singles ranks.

But, then again why would I want to break up a amazing team, they are like the Hardys but a lot more athletic.

The fact they don't have tag title reign is pretty dumb but, I feel their day will come soon.

7. Chris Jericho-WWE

4563678032_e450c834d9_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 8
Quality Of Match: 9

Ability Now?: Slowly declining

Chris Jericho said on a past Monday Night Raw that he was the most valuable wrestler in WWE, and he might just be right.

He is arguably the most versatile superstar in the history of the company. You can insert the man into IC matches, Tag Title matches and Heavyweight Matches. No big star would be taken out of the main event picture like that.

His skill set is still there, he can still perform the infamous"Walls Of Jericho," he has added a somewhat power move like the "Codebreaker" and still perserves some of that high flying style that made him famous in the "Lionsault."

6. CM Punk-WWE

J161dz_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 9
Quality Of Match: 8

Ability Now?: Staying steady

Leader of the SES, "The Straight Edge Savior" CM Punk is ahead of Chris Jericho for me.

Punk and Jericho seriously could have been flipped either way.

But, I think right now Punk has a bit more to offer in the ring, he has the great finisher "GTS," he also has a nice mixed martial arts style in the ring and can get technical in the ring with the occasional move the "Anaconda Vice."

But, gimmick wise, Punk wastes Jericho, but we aren't talking about that though.

5. AJ Styles-TNA

Img_9459_mr-thumb-640xauto-25804_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 10
Quality Of Match: 7

Ability Now?: Staying Steady

The franchise of TNA, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles is in the top 5.

He has both power and high flying athleticism in his arsenal.

He is a very marketable superstar and so he has achieved a lot of popularity, even though he has never actually wrestled significant time in WWE.

Who can forget his great performance in the famous triple threat between him, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels for the X-Division Title.

4. Desmond Wolfe-TNA

A132f2553de776273e219bd6e5f43333_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 9
Quality Of Match: 9

Ability Now?: Staying Steady

If he was in WWE, he would be the fresh new main eventer face instead of Sheamus.

Still new to the big promotion, Wolfe has already competed in some of TNA's greatest matches with the Olympic hero Kurt Angle.

Kurt has even said that Desmond is one of the best in the game today.

He has a vicious mind-set in the ring and is a true technician.

But alas, he has not received a push because of the influx of talent on the roster.

3. Samoa Joe-TNA

Samoa-joe-image_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 10
Quality Of Match: 8

Ability Now?: Staying Steady

"Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe is in the top 3.

I still am astounded by the in-ring ability the guy has and with his given size.

People see him and think, oh it's just another overweight powerhouse, no it's not !

Joe can fly across the ring, has power in his arsenal, and if that weren't enough, he can pick your limbs apart one by one.

Joe was one of the first guys to bring true prestige to the X Title.

Ah, the dream matches that would be possible if he was in WWE.

2. Jack Swagger-WWE

843252490d9fd2d251c2fa399587f080_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 10
Quality Of Match: 8

Ability Now?: On the rise

In a year's time, I could see Swagger topping the list.

Kid's got it all: the look, the talent, move-set, charisma, and that no-mercy attitude.

Have to believe that he will beat poor Rey Mysterio for the WHC Championship and cement himself as a legitimate threat in WWE.

When he was in ECW we saw him jump around the ring and have that dumb smile on his face, but now Jack is all business.

With, the Ankle Lock he has looked a little like Kurt Angle but, will never be like the original. Oh, speaking of Kurt.

1. Kurt Angle-TNA

Tna-champ_display_image

Ability From 1-10: 10
Quality Of Match: 10

Ability Now?: Slowly declining

The Olympic Gold Medalist will finish on top of another list.

With all of the neck injuries he has lost an obvious step from his game but, even with them, he still gives it 100 percent in the ring.

I was battling which way to go, Swagger first or Angle, but Kurt has wrestled through injuries, so that won me over.

No, surprise that the top 4 guys on this list are all technical wrestling stars.

Entire List

So, whatya thinks ? How badly did I mess up?

1. Kurt Angle
2. Jack Swagger
3. Samoa Joe
4. Desmond Wolfe
5. AJ Styles
6. CM Punk
7. Chris Jericho
8. MCMG
9. Douglas Williams
10. Kofi Kingston
11. Amazing Red
12. RVD
13. Evan Bourne
14. "The Pope"
15. Edge
16. Undertaker
17. Jay Lethal
18. John Morrison
