Kevin Harvick Scores NASCAR Dollar General 300 Pole at Chicagoland

Kevin Harvick scored the pole in Nationwide Series qualifying for the Dollar General 300 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois.

Harvick put the Jimmy Johns Chevrolet on the pole with a lap of 30.38 at 177.696 MPH and scored his first Chicagoland pole.

Harvick has been strong in the Cup Series at Chicago and is a former winner. Brad Keselowski in the Discount Tire Dodge for Penske Racing starts second and is the series points leader.

Danica Patrick is back after running the race in New Hampshire, she missed Daytona due to IndyCar duties but returns tonight at Chicagoland qualifying in 28th position for the Dollar General 300.

Joey Logano won this race one year ago and starts 5th in the Gamestop Toyota.
