No I Am Not On Crack, But I Do Think The Royals Will Make The Playoffs.

The Royals are on fire.

We have won our past 4 series, capitalizing it with a sweep in Seattle. Now i know a sweep against a weak Seattle team isn't much to brag about, but it was on the road. We also took 2 of 3 from a very tough Angels team, from a very loud Angel's Stadium.

Is that enough to convince you?

I know it's only two weeks that we've been hot but Yost is 27-23 as manager of the Royals. If you put that percentage and total it to all of our games played this season, we would be 46-39, 1 game out of 1st.

That definitely excites me.

We have a pivotal series in Chicago this weekend that will set the tone for the 2nd half of the season. A series win would gain us some big momentum into a thoroughly weak rest of July, with teams such as Baltimore, Toronto and Oakland, all at home. We do have a four game series in New York which could be dangerous, but let's just hope Joe West is umpiring those games. We also have a three game series with Minnesota at home which, if we keep winning like we do, could put us in a position to move up to third or maybe even second place.

I would like to remind you that I am not on drugs, nor am i drunk.

We still maintain the MLB leading batting average and with the power addition of Wilson Betemit and the shutdown pitching our starters and bullpen have produced lately, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Royals still in the AL central race come September.

Ned Yost has lit a fire under the Royals and it has Kansas City excited. Even the bandwagon fans are starting to come out. As much as they annoy me, it shows that the Royals are finally doing something right and is giving this town hope.

That's all for now, but i would like to remind you to practice a safe lunch, and use a condiment. Good Night KC.
