Thanks For The Memories Of Me, Myself And I; But Goodbye
James was very good at answering the many questions asked of him. He handled himself well for the national audience. Only Cav fans and those who still have a belief in loyalty felt the deep sense of disappointment. James implied over and over that it was he that made the Cavs what they were and then said thanks for the memories, but goodbye.
Very few people understand the money aspects that were not brought up such as NO STATE INCOME TAX that will save him 4 to 6 million a year. His endorsements will be 3 to 4 time more than his NBA wages. If this new supper team can win NBA rings then the endorsements will increase considerably. One must never totally dismiss monetary issues. The agents had it all figured out and it will not cost them any lost of income.
It is very hard for me to understand why he felt it necessary to humiliate Cleveland on a national stage. He could have just said some time ago that he had every intention of leaving or just made the announcement in a respectful manner. Poor advice and/or an absence of wisdom by James and his team.
I wrote several months ago that the Heat and the Clippers were in the lead. Definitely not New York or New Jersey as the taxes are a killer and teams are weak. Chicago people were kidding themselves, as were Cav fans. We now live in an era of me, myself and I.
LBJ had better win many rings otherwise his legacy of leaving a city that adored him will follow him around like his shadow.

An article was recently written how the Cav fans were delusional and deserved what they got for the High Crime of Believing. There is a great saying, “Love reasons in a manner that reason cannot understand”. Most Cav fans knew that there was a strong chance he was going to leave but did not want to face it. James’s conduct spoke volumes.
It is done, their hero is gone. Too bad James could not have shown class in the way he departed. Tears would flow but forgiveness would followed.
Maybe the Northeastern Ohio people can find it in their hearts to forgive the way he humiliated them.
