A Plan to Bring Back Prestige To The United States Title.

Ben GartlandAnalyst IIJuly 8, 2010

Over the past 2 years or so, the United States title has lost the prestige and glory it once had with champions such as Chris Benoit, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat and Kurt Angle. I have some ideas that may bring that glory back.

1. First thing that must happen is Chris Jericho must win Money in the Bank for Raw. I know that people will not like this first idea because they want a new star to be born and to become a main-eventer, but this needs to happen for my idea to work.

2. Chris Jericho will cash in his briefcase against the Miz. After their tag team imploded, this could set up a nice little feud that could last until Summerslam.

3. Chris Jericho is going to retain his title at Summerslam, and then it needs to be constantly defended in main events both with up and coming stars such as Evan Bourne and R-Truth, but also against main-eventers, like Edge and Sheamus.

4. If the Nexus storyline is still going on, then someone such as Wade Barret or Heath Slater is going to win the title from Jericho, and use it to give the Nexus more power.

5. There's going to be a WWE-Nexus feud, where every week there will be a title match, where both sides are trying to get the title for their own side.

By then the title will have the recognition it deserves and WWE should keep capitalizing on it by having great matches, while still keeping the glory the United States title deserves.
