July Perfection: Mets Haven't Lost A Series In The Month Of July

The New York Metropolitans have not lost a series in the month of July...I can't hear that enough, so much so that I felt compelled to tell as many people as I possibly could.  Is this second half team that much different from it's first half counterpart?  Apparently so, and I don't particularly care whatever the reason for the turnaround may be.  It could be Jerry Manuel, it could Dan Warthen, it could Delgado remembering he used to be a great hitter, it could just be time healing wounds from last year's collapse, it could even be Charlie Samuels the equipment manager and associate travel director.  Whatever the reason, the Mets are winning and I'm enjoying it.

The New York Metropolitans have not lost a series in the month of July...and not just against lower level teams.  The Mets have won two series against the previous NL East leading Philadelphia Phillies and two against the playoff contending St. Louis Cardinals, beating both teams at home and away.  Of the three teams they faced with losing records, the Mets swept two and tied a 4 game series with the third.

The New York Metropolitans have not lost a series in the month of July...and I am one confident fan.  I see no reason to think this will ever end.  The Mets are pitching well, they are hitting well, and they don't even have Ryan Church back yet.

The New York Metropolitans have not lost a series in the month of July...but can they keep it up?  They have one more series against the second place Florida Marlins left in front of them.  Just two more wins for a perfect July...but something tells me these Mets are going to win three.
