LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 17: Ray Allen #20 of the Boston Celtics looks on in the first half against the Los Angeles Lakers in Game Seven of the 2010 NBA Finals at Staples Center on June 17, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. The Celtics "Big Three" is now completely intact.

Ray Allen has agreed to a two-year, 20 million dollar contract with the Boston Celtics. He will receive 10 million dollars per year in this new contract.

Allen, 34, is likely entering his last productive season so this contract is definitely a risky move.

This also brings age instead of youth to Boston and that could hurt their relevancy in the long run.

So we will see what happens in the regular season but from the looks of it, this was an unnecessary move by the Boston Celtics.
