Toronto Maple Leafs Sign Defenseman Brett Lebda

The Leafs have just reported they have signed former Detroit Redwings defenceman Brett Lebda to a 2-year contract at $1.45 million per year.
Lebda has played a total of 326 games in the NHL, accumulating 68 points, 201 penalty minutes, and an overall +/- of plus-11.
Lebda is undersized in today's NHL at 5'9", but that hasn't stopped him. Lebda has had a decent career with minimal injury trouble.
This adds more depth and sandpaper to the Leafs' back end, although it may come as somewhat of a surprise due to the over-abundance of NHL-ready defenceman in the Leafs' system already.
One can only speculate where Lebda will be penciled in next season.
