By signing Amar'e Stoudemire, the Knicks were the first team to sign a major free agent in 2010's star-studded free agency period.
The move won't be the Knicks' last.
With plans to become a contender in the East, New York will need to sign more free agents to give Stoudemire and Danilo Gallinari needed support.
Tracy McGrady is all but gone, and Chris Duhon just signed with the Orlando Magic, leaving holes at both guard positions.
On top of signing pieces to put around Stoudemire, the Knicks also have LeBron James on their mind. They also need to figure out their plan with David Lee.
Stoudemire was just the start of the Knicks' free agency plan. With millions of dollars of cap space available and the possible moving of David Lee, the Knicks have options.
Their first priority starts with the man in the next slide, however.
