Syracuse Chiefs to face Josh Beckett Sunday (and maybe next Saturday)
This photo makes me uncomfortable
Aaron Gleeman of NBCsports.com is reporting that Boston ace Josh Beckett threw a simulated game today in Tampa and is now slated for at least one Triple-A rehab start with Pawtucket.

"Beckett threw a 65-pitch simulated game this afternoon [...] clearing the way for him to begin a rehab assignment Sunday at Triple-A.

Beckett is expected to throw around 70 pitches for Pawtucket and will likely be asked to make at least one more rehab start before potentially coming off the disabled list."

The PawSox play host to Syracuse on Sunday at 1 p.m.  They also visit the Salt City for a series that starts immediately following the July 14 Triple-A All-Star Game.  Should Beckett pitch Sunday in Pawtucket as expected, he may also take the hill Saturday in Syracuse.
