Each one of these guys could really help there team to a Conference Championship or even a National Championship
Pryor, a Junior out of The Ohio State Univerisity has answered many questions through two seasons. But will this be his year. Many fingers point out that it will be. His record as a starter in the past two seasons is 19-3. With the honors of such things as Preseason Big Ten Player of The Year. Pryor is undoubtedly a Heisman candidate. With wins against Miami FL, Penn State, Michigan and Iowa then we can say that Pryor has lived up to the hype around him
Without taking a single snap in the upcoming season, Jake Locker is the projected #1 in the 2011 NFL Draft. Ending last season at a record of 5-7, Locker lead the Huskies to two huge wins. One against the once high and mighty #3 USC Trojans leading the Huskies to be ranked 24 in the polls(First time since 03). Then a blowout against the California Goldenbears. But will we see the Locker that could be the highly toutued #1. Or will Locker fall apart?
Can you really say that Mark Ingram's Sophmore Year was nothing less than phenomenal. No this Heisman winner answered the questions left about the Crimson Tide running game after last Season. But will he have a repeat season? Signs point to yes, but games against Penn State, LSU, Florida, and Auburn could provide the reasons. If Ingram runs as well as he did last season then look for the Tide to be in BSC game once again
There are alot of questions surrounding AJ Green going into this season. The biggest one could be can he stay healthy and lead the Georgia to victory. Green is one of the best WR out in the college game right now. But can Green answer all the questions this season. Yes, he can but he will have to do alot of work to do so. He will have to pile up some big numbers against some big teams in and out of conference.
Who knew that Gilbert played in 9 games last season, but we all know that he stepped in for an injured Colt McCoy at the National Championship. What did we learn from that, Gilbert is a fresh new face for the Texas offense. Texas fans really should have no worry with Gilbert stepping in. But can Gilbert step out of the shadow of Colt McCoy and become the new star QB. If he plays like he did on the two scoring drives then well will should see Texas late in the season.
This West Virgina Mountaneer put up some great numbers through 3 seasons in Morgantown. He is arguably the best back in the Big East. But can Devine really show this year that the Mountaineers are more than just runners. But what will he have to do to show that hes for real. Have big games against the big opponents those being Pitt, LSU. Cincy and Louisville. Then we could be possibly seeing Devine's name up their for the Heisman.
What have we learned about Dion Lewis at Pitt in one season? That he was "the games most complete runner". Winner of the the Big East Offensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. We should see big things from Lewis who also broke Tony Dorsetts record for most rushing yards by a freshman. He is undoubtedly a Heisman candidate for this season, but can he continue his success. To show his skills this year watch for him in games against Utah. Miami FL, Notre Dame and West Virgina.
There is alot of talent seen in Royster, and this season we will see him once again live up to it. He is arguably the best running back in the Big Ten. But will he be the leader that Penn State needs to win. Or will he and the Nittany Lions be once again upset late in the season. But with games late in the season against Ohio State and Michigan State will he not show up? But the proving point in many minds will be the meeting against the Alabama Crimsion Tide in Week 2.
Zach Collaros will finally be the full time starter in Cincinnati after waiting behind Tony Pike. Collaros showed that he was no backup after impressive performances in different games. But the question behind Collaros is the coaching position, he will be without Brian Kelly this season. Will he fall apart or will he show that he is the real deal. Watch out for Collaros in games against Oklahoma and Fresno State
Jacory Harris(Miami FL)-Should finally put Miami in the Legiment Title Hunt
Greg McElroy(Alabama)-Led the Tide to a National Championship victory, look for a repeat regular season
Michael Dyer(Auburn)- He could be the key to this Auburn Offense, and could show that the Tigers are contenders
Andrew Luck(Stanford)- Luck will show that the Stanford offense was not just all Toby Gerhart and will lead them over USC once again
Tyrod Taylor(Virginia Tech)- Looking at his stats, Taylor can show that his senior season will be the best of all.
TJ Yates(UNC)-This should be the season that Yates puts the Tar Heels on the map and shows them that they are now stepping stone.
