It might have been a holiday this past weekend, but it was a busy week for college football recruiting. There were several big-name announcements as eight four-star prospects made commitments.

The big winners of the week were Ole Miss, Ohio State and Oklahoma. They all got their hands on some very, very good players.

To get you updated on all of the latest commitments, here is the list of all the notable prospects that announced their commitment from June 29th to July 5th.

6/29/10: Jack Miller, DE (Toledo, OH)

Commitment: Michigan

Ht: 6'4"
Wt: 265
40: 4.78

High School: St. Johns Jesuit

Miller was a two-way player in high school, but projects to the defensive side of the ball at the next level. He's a three-star defensive end who does a great job of penetrating into the backfield, but his overall skill set is limited.

6/29/10: Dan Tapko, DE (Kansas City, MO)

Dantapko_display_image

Commitment: Oklahoma

Ht: 6'5"
Wt: 235

High School: Rockhurst

The Sooners got their hands on another four-star commitment with Dan Tapko, the four-star defensive end ranked 13th at his position by Rivals. He's considered to be one on the best players from the state of Missouri.

6/29/10: Deon Green, DT (Orlando, FL)

Deongreen_display_image

Commitment: South Carolina

Ht: 6'4"
Wt: 268

High School: Olympia

Green is a three-star defensive tackle, but some scouts see him as a strongside end at the college level. Wherever he ends up, the ceiling is very high for this young player who only played one year of football.

6/29/10: Kevin Sousa, QB (Orlando, FL)

Kevinsousa_display_image

Commitment: Michigan

Ht: 6'4"
Wt: 235
40: 4.69

High School: Lake Nona

Sousa is a three-star quarterback ranked 31st at his position by Scout and ranked as the No. 21 dual-threat QB by Rivals. He's an athletic player with a good arm and quick feet.

6/29/10: Chevelle Buie, RB (Cocoa, FL)

Chevellebuie_display_image

Commitment: Rutgers

Ht: 5'9"
Wt: 160
40: 4.5

High School: Cocoa

Buie is a big get for Rutgers. He's a four-star prospect ranked as the No. 6 all-purpose back by Rivals and the No. 30 running back by Scout. He led his team to the state championships two years in a row and is the type of player that knows how to win.

6/29/10: Zack Oliver, QB (Baton Rouge, LA)

Zackoliver_display_image

Commitment: Northwestern

Ht: 6'3"
Wt: 214
40: 4.78

High School: Catholic

Oliver is a three-star quarterback ranked as the No. 35 QB by Scout and the No. 20 pro-style passer by Rivals. He's a smart and accurate player, but he struggles to play under center and his footwork needs improvement.

6/30/10: Ray Hamilton, TE (Strongsville, OH)

Rayhamilton_display_image

Commitment: Iowa

Ht: 6'5"
Wt: 230
40: 4.7

High School: Strongsville

Hamilton is a three-star tight end ranked in the top 20 at his position by both Scout and Rivals. A knee injury limited him to six games as a junior and he's flown under the radar ever since.

6/30/10: Nick Vannett, TE (Westerville, OH)

Nickvannett_display_image

Commitment: Ohio State

Ht: 6'6"
Wt: 230

High School: Westerville-Central

The rich get richer in Ohio as the Buckeyes add four-star prospect Nick Vannett, who's ranked as the No. 11 tight end by Scout and the No. 12 tight end by Rivals. He's a big, physical player who has a polished game.

6/30/10: Brock Berglund, QB (Highlands Ranch, CO)

Brockberglund_display_image

Commitment: Colorado

Ht: 6'3"
Wt: 200
40: 4.62

High School: Valor Christian

There's some disparity in opinions when it comes to Berglund. Rivals ranks him as the No. 13 dual-threat QB, but Scout ranks him 37th among all QBs; both acknowledge he's a three-star prospect. Stat-wise, he's put up 5,000-plus yards in the last two years.

7/01/10: Vernard Roberts, RB (Washington, DC)

Vernardroberts_display_image

Commitment: West Virginia

Ht: 5'11"
Wt: 185
40: 4.7

High School: Dunbar

Roberts is a three-star running back ranked 50th at his position by Rivals and 71st by Scout. While he's shown some good ability at the high school level, his speed limits his appeal as a college player.

7/01/10: Junior Pomee, TE (Moreno Valley, CA)

Juniorpomee_display_image

Commitment: UCLA

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 215
40: 4.6

High School: Rancho Verde

Pomee is an interesting four-star prospect ranked as the No. 10 tight end by Scout and the No. 46 wide receiver by Rivals. He's more of a hybrid player though and has a future at both positions.

7/01/10: Joel Heath, DE (Cincinnati, OH)

Joelheath_display_image

Commitment: Michigan State

Ht: 6'6"
Wt: 255

High School: Mt. Healthy

Heath is a three-star defensive end ranked No. 49 at his position by Scout, but goes unranked by Rivals. He's a player that hasn't gotten much attention, but has the body type and athleticism to really develop into a good player.

7/01/10: Andrew Zeller, OG (Red Lion, PA)

Andrewzeller_display_image

Commitment: Maryland

Ht: 6'5"
Wt: 280
40: 5.1

High School: Red Lion

Zeller is a three-star offensive lineman prospect ranked as the No. 51 offensive guard by Scout and an unranked offensive tackle by Rivals. He's a two-way player who played most of his minutes at defensive tackle his junior year.

7/01/10: Rob Burns, DE (Ashburn, VA)

Robburns_display_image

Commitment: Virginia

Ht: 6'7" Wt: 230 40: 4.8

High School: Stone Bridge

Burns is a three star defensive end ranked No. 61 at his position by Scout; Rivals ranks him as the 14th-best prospect from the state of Virginia. He's got a huge frame, but needs to had some bulk to make an impact on the next level.

7/01/10: Shawn Oakman, DE (Lansdowne, PA)

Shawnoakman_display_image

Commitment: Penn State

Ht: 6'9"
Wt: 245

High School: Penn Wood

Penn State finally gets their recruiting class off the ground with the addition of Oakman. The four-star defensive end is ranked 20th at his position by Rivals and 28th by Scout. The dual-sport athlete has a tremendous frame and wingspan and has great athleticism for his size.

7/02/10: Justin Worley, QB (Rock Hill, SC)

Justinworley_display_image

Commitment: Tennessee

Ht: 6'4"
Wt: 197
40: 4.8

High School: Northwestern

Worley is a three-star quarterback ranked No. 20 at his position by Scout, but goes unranked by Rivals. He has great size and has proved to be a leader on the field; he might be one of the gems of the class. There's still a lot of work to be done though.

7/02/10: Ron Tanner, S (Columbus, OH)

Rontanner_display_image

Commitment: Ohio State

Ht: 6'1"
Wt: 190
40: 4.5

High School: Eastmoor Academy

Ohio State adds their second four-star prospect of the week, this time getting their hands on safety Ron Tanner; who is ranked No. 7 at his position by Scout. He's a big hitter with great natural instincts and knack for big plays.

7/02/10: Kyle Harris, OT (Lindale, GA)

Kyleharris_display_image

Commitment: Georgia Tech

Ht: 6'3"
Wt: 255
40: 5.13

High School: Pepperell

Harris is a three-star offensive tackle ranked No. 33 at his position by Rivals, but No. 70 by Scout. He helped his stock a lot with a solid performance at the Atlanta MVP camp that earned him his offer from Georgia Tech.

7/02/10: Connor Wujciak, DE (West Orange, NJ)

Connorwujciak_display_image

Commitment: Boston College

Ht: 6'3"
Wt: 250
40: 4.8

High School: Seton Hall Preparatory

Wujciak is a three-star defensive end prospect ranked as the No. 22 strongside end by Rivals and the No. 72 end by Scout. He's a strong kid, but his technique is very raw. His brother plays at Maryland and his father played for Notre Dame.

7/03/10: Johnny Haynes, WR (Irving, TX)

Johnnyhaynes_display_image

Commitment: Oklahoma State

Ht: 5'10"
Wt: 175
40: 4.6

High School: MacArthur

Haynes is a three-star wide receiver ranked as the No. 40 prospect at his position by Rivals and No. 70 by Scout. He's a great player with the ball in his hands, especially after the catch, but he struggles with routes, etc.

7/04/10: Gerrod Holliman, S (Miami, FL)

Gerrodholliman2_display_image

Commitment: Ole Miss

Ht: 6'0"
Wt: 185
40: 4.55

High School: Miami Southridge

The first of two huge recruits for Ole Miss, Holliman is a four-star safety ranked No. 6 at his position by Rivals and No. 12 by Scout. He has an ideal boy-type to play either safety position and has a solid all-around skill set.

7/04/10: Andrew Johnson, CB (Miami, FL)

Andrewjohnson_display_image

Commitment: Ole Miss

Ht: 5'9"
Wt: 170

High School: Miami Southridge

Johnson will be joining his teammate from Southridge at Ole Miss in 2011. He's a four-star cornerback ranked No. 17 at his position by Rivals and No. 40 by Scout. He's a bit undersized, which is the main reason Scout snubbed him, but other than that there's almost nothing not to like about his game.

7/05/10: Jamar Lewter, OT (Washington, DC)

Jamerlewter_display_image

Commitment: North Carolina

Ht: 6'7"
Wt: 265
40: 5.0

High School: Ballou

The four-star offensive tackle has only played one season as a true offensive lineman but has already earned a lot of praise for his performance. Scout ranks him No. 20 at his position while Rivals ranks him 36th.

7/05/10: Kent Turene, LB (Lauderdale Lakes, FL)

Kentturene_display_image

Commitment: USC

Ht: 6'3"
Wt: 225
40: 4.65

USC gets a great addition with four-star linebacker Ken Turene, who is ranked as the No. 12 inside linebacker by Rivals and the No. 23 outside linebacker by Scout. He's a tackling machine who has recorded 120 tackles and 10 sacks as a junior.
